1. Introduction

It is ideal for large areas up to 4,500 square feet, capable of collecting up to 50 pints (70 Pint 2012 DOE Standard) of water per day. 2. Safety Information

To ensure safe operation and optimal performance, please observe the following guidelines:

• Allow at least 20cm (approximately 8 inches) of air space on all sides of the unit for good air circulation. Ensure at least 40cm (approximately 16 inches) of air space on the air outlet side.
• Place the unit in an area where the temperature will not fall below 5°C (41°F). Temperatures below 5°C (41°F) can cause the cold coil to become covered with frost, which may reduce the performance of the unit.
• This dehumidifier is UL Listed and Energy Star Certified, ensuring it meets high safety and energy efficiency standards.

3. Setup

Before operating your dehumidifier, follow these simple setup steps:

1. Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging.
2. Positioning: Place the unit on a level surface in the desired location, ensuring adequate clearance around all sides as specified in the Safety Information section. The 360° rotational wheels allow for easy movement.
3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

• Power Button: Press to turn the unit On or Off.
• Humidity Setting: Use the Up/Down arrows to set your desired humidity level, typically between 35% and 85%. The unit will operate until this level is reached.
• Comfort Mode: Press the 'COMFORT' button to activate or deactivate the comfort mode, which automatically maintains a healthy humidity range.
• Continuous Mode (CONT.): Press the 'CONT.' button to activate continuous dehumidification, allowing the unit to run without stopping until manually turned off or the tank is full.
• Turbo Mode: Press the 'TURBO' button to control the fan speed, increasing it for faster dehumidification.
• Timer: Use the 'TIMER' button and Up/Down arrows to set the auto start and auto stop time from 0 to 24 hours.
• Auto-Shutoff: The unit features an automatic shut-off function when the water tank is full, indicated by the 'FULL' light.
• Auto Defrost: The automatic defrost function effectively reduces damage caused by ice formation on the collected water, ensuring continuous operation.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your dehumidifier.

• Emptying the Water Tank: The large 1.6-gallon water tank is designed for easy removal. When the tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off. Simply pull out the tank using its portable bucket handle and empty the collected water.
• Continuous Drainage: For continuous operation without needing to empty the tank, connect a drain hose (not included, search for B096SCLQM2 for compatible drain hose) to the built-in socket for gravity-fed continuous draining.

• Cleaning the Air Filter: The washable filter at the back of the unit preserves air quality and is easy to clean, eliminating the need for expensive replacement parts. The 'FILTER' indicator on the control panel will remind you to clear the air filter for more efficient operation. Regularly clean the filter to maintain optimal performance.

6. Troubleshooting

• Unit Not Turning On: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check if the water tank is properly seated and not full.
• Dehumidifier Not Collecting Water: Verify that the humidity setting is lower than the current room humidity. Check if the air filter is clean and not obstructed. Ensure the unit is placed in an area with adequate air circulation.
• Unit is Noisy: Check if the unit is on a level surface. Ensure there are no obstructions around the air intake or outlet.
• Frost on Coils: This can occur in very cold environments. The auto defrost function should handle this. If it persists, ensure the room temperature is above 5°C (41°F).
