Setup

  1. Pre-wash Fabrics: For best results, pre-wash all materials without using fabric softeners. This ensures optimal adhesion.
  2. Pre-test Adhesive: Before starting your main project, it is recommended to pre-test the adhesive on a small, inconspicuous area of your fabric to ensure compatibility and desired results.
  3. Preheat Iron: Set your iron to medium heat. Ensure the steam function is turned OFF.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to apply HeatnBond Hem Iron-On Adhesive:

  1. Prepare Hem: Turn the garment or fabric item inside out. Measure and press the new hemline into the fabric using your preheated iron. This creates a crisp fold for the adhesive.
  2. Apply Adhesive: Place the HeatnBond Hem tape inside the newly folded hem. Ensure it is positioned evenly along the edge.
  3. Bonding Process: Place your iron directly onto the fabric over the tape. Hold the iron in place for 3-5 seconds on each section. Slightly overlap sections as you move along the hem to ensure continuous bonding. Avoid moving the iron back and forth.
  4. Final Press: Once the entire surface is bonded, turn the item right side out and iron the fabric for an additional 1-3 seconds to ensure a smooth, finished appearance.
