5. Setup

5.1. Battery Installation

  • To Power Off: Rotate the Power/Volume knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click and the display turns off.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Adjusting Volume

Rotate the Power/Volume knob to adjust the listening volume to a comfortable level.

6.2. Channel Selection

To communicate with another walkie talkie, both units must be set to the same channel and sub-code.

  1. Press the Menu button once. The channel number on the display will flash.
  2. Use the Channel Up/Down buttons to select one of the 8 available channels.
  3. Press the Menu button again. The sub-code number will flash.
  4. Use the Channel Up/Down buttons to select one of the 38 available sub-codes.
  5. Press the Menu button or wait a few seconds for the setting to be saved.

6.3. Transmitting and Receiving

  • To Transmit: Press and hold the PTT (Push-to-Talk) button. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button when you finish speaking.
  • To Receive: Ensure the PTT button is not pressed. The unit will automatically receive signals on the selected channel.

6.4. VOX Function (Voice Operated Exchange)

The VOX function allows hands-free transmission. When activated, the walkie talkie will automatically transmit when it detects your voice.

  1. Press the Menu button repeatedly until the VOX icon appears on the display.
  2. Use the Channel Up/Down buttons to select a VOX sensitivity level (e.g., 1, 2, 3, where 3 is most sensitive). Select 'OFF' to disable VOX.
  3. Press the Menu button or wait for the setting to be saved.

6.5. Dual Channel Monitoring
