1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation of your GHB Wireless Baby Monitor. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product and retain it for future reference. The GHB Baby Monitor is designed to provide a secure and private connection to monitor your baby, offering features such as two-way audio, night vision, and temperature monitoring.

2. Safety Information

  • Strangulation Hazard: Keep all cables out of reach of children (at least 1 meter / 3 feet away). Never place the camera or cords within reach of the baby's crib or playpen.
  • Choking Hazard: This product contains small parts. Keep them away from children.
  • Heat Exposure: Do not place the monitor or camera near heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other heat-producing appliances.
  • Water and Moisture: Do not expose the product to water or moisture. Do not use near bathtubs, sinks, laundry tubs, swimming pools, or wet basements.
  • Power Sources: Use only the AC power adapters provided with the product. Using other adapters may damage the device and void the warranty.
  • Ventilation: Do not block any ventilation openings. Ensure proper airflow around the units.
  • Battery Safety: The parent unit contains a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. Do not attempt to replace it yourself. Dispose of batteries according to local regulations.

4. Product Overview

The GHB Baby Monitor system consists of a Parent Unit (monitor) and a Baby Unit (camera). Familiarize yourself with their components and controls.

4.1 Parent Unit (Monitor)

The parent unit features a 2.4-inch LCD screen for video display and buttons for control.

  • LCD Screen: Displays live video feed from the camera.
  • Power Button: Press and hold to turn on/off.
  • Menu/OK Button: Access menu options, confirm selections.
  • Navigation Buttons (Up/Down/Left/Right): Navigate through menus, adjust volume/brightness.
  • Talk Button: Press and hold to speak to your baby.
  • Lullaby Button: Play/pause lullabies.
  • ECO Mode Indicator: Shows when ECO mode is active.
  • Battery Indicator: Displays current battery level.

4.2 Baby Unit (Camera)

The baby unit captures video and audio from your baby's room.

  • Camera Lens: Captures video.
  • Infrared LEDs: Provide night vision.
  • Microphone: Picks up audio from the baby's room.
  • Speaker: For two-way talk and lullabies.
  • Temperature Sensor: Monitors room temperature.
  • Power Port: Connects to the power adapter.
  • Mounting Hole: For wall mounting.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Parent Unit

  1. Connect the small end of one power adapter to the Parent Unit's power port.
  2. Plug the other end into a power outlet.
  3. The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status. Charge for approximately 4 hours before first use.

5.2 Placing the Baby Unit (Camera)

  1. Place the Baby Unit on a flat surface in your baby's room, such as a dresser or shelf. Ensure it is at least 1 meter (3 feet) away from the crib to prevent strangulation hazards from the power cord.
  2. Adjust the camera angle manually to get a clear view of your baby. The camera base allows for 360-degree rotation.
  3. Alternatively, the camera can be wall-mounted using the provided mounting hole.
  4. Connect the second power adapter to the Baby Unit's power port and plug it into a power outlet.

5.3 Powering On

  1. Press and hold the Power button on the Parent Unit until the screen turns on.
  2. Ensure the Baby Unit is plugged in and powered on. The Parent Unit should automatically connect to the Baby Unit.
  3. If the connection is not established, refer to the Troubleshooting section for pairing instructions.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Adjusting Volume and Brightness

  • Use the Up/Down navigation buttons on the Parent Unit to adjust the volume of the audio from the Baby Unit.
  • Access the menu to adjust screen brightness for optimal viewing.

6.2 ECO Mode (VOX)

ECO mode conserves battery power by turning off the screen and audio when no sound is detected from the baby's room. The monitor will automatically activate when sound is detected.

  1. Press the Menu button on the Parent Unit.
  2. Navigate to the ECO mode setting.
  3. Select 'On' to activate ECO mode. You may also adjust the sound sensitivity level.

6.3 Two-Way Talk

Communicate with your baby through the monitor.

  1. Press and hold the Talk button on the Parent Unit.
  2. Speak clearly into the microphone on the Parent Unit. Your voice will be transmitted to the Baby Unit.
  3. Release the Talk button to hear your baby again.

6.4 Infrared Night Vision

The Baby Unit automatically activates infrared night vision in low-light conditions, providing a clear black-and-white image on the Parent Unit.

6.5 Temperature Monitoring

The Baby Unit continuously monitors the room temperature and displays it on the Parent Unit's screen. This allows you to ensure a comfortable environment for your baby.

6.6 Lullabies

Play soothing lullabies to help your baby fall asleep.

  1. Press the Lullaby button on the Parent Unit to start playing lullabies.
  2. Press the button again to cycle through available lullabies or to stop playback.

6.7 Digital Zoom

Zoom in on the video feed for a closer look at your baby.

  1. While viewing the live feed, press the Zoom button (often integrated with a navigation button or a dedicated icon).
  2. The screen will display a magnified view (e.g., 2x zoom).
  3. Press the Zoom button again to return to the normal view.

6.8 Adding Multiple Cameras (Optional)

The GHB Baby Monitor supports connecting up to four cameras to one Parent Unit.

  1. Ensure the additional camera(s) are powered on.
  2. Access the menu on the Parent Unit and navigate to the 'Camera' or 'Pairing' settings.
  3. Select an available camera channel (e.g., CAM2, CAM3, CAM4) and initiate the pairing process.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete pairing. This usually involves pressing a pairing button on the Baby Unit within a short timeframe.
  5. Once paired, you can switch between cameras using the dedicated camera switch button or through the menu.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Clean the monitor and camera surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the Parent Unit's battery frequently. If storing the unit for an extended period, charge it fully and then store it in a cool, dry place. Recharge every few months.
  • Storage: Store the unit in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use.

8. Troubleshooting
