This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your ES32 electric scooter.
Key features include a reverse function, a physical key switch for battery control, and an upgraded LED display for clear information. Its compact size when folded makes it ideal for storage and transport.
2. Setup and Initial Assembly
The TopMate ES32 electric scooter is designed for minimal assembly and can typically be ridden immediately upon receipt. However, some initial setup steps are recommended to ensure optimal performance and safety.
2.1 Unboxing and Inspection
Carefully remove the scooter from its packaging. Inspect all components for any signs of damage during transit. Ensure all parts listed in the packing list are present.

2.2 Seat Installation (if required)
While the scooter is largely pre-assembled, some users may need to install or adjust the seat. Ensure the two metal squares that secure the seat to the frame are correctly oriented. The square with the larger hole should be on the bottom, and the top one should have threads for the screws. Securely fasten the seat using the provided hex screws.
2.3 Handlebar Adjustment
Adjust the handlebar to a comfortable height and ensure it is securely tightened. The throttle unit, LCD screen, and key switch are integrated with the handlebar. If necessary, the throttle unit can be moved to the left handle by loosening the hex screw, though the screen and key will appear upside down.
2.4 Folding and Unfolding
The ES32 features a foldable design for easy transport and storage. To fold, lift the seat up, then lower it down. Merge the scooter bodies together until they lock. Push the front folding switch and rotate the front section to the other side synchronously. To unfold, reverse these steps, ensuring all locking mechanisms are engaged before riding.

4.3 General Cleaning and Storage
Keep the scooter clean by wiping it with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals. When not in use, store the scooter in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The foldable design allows for convenient storage in garages or car trunks.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your TopMate ES32 scooter, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- Scooter does not power on: Ensure the key is fully inserted and turned to the 'On' position. Check the battery charge level. If the battery is low, connect the charger and allow it to charge fully.
- Scooter does not move: Verify that the scooter is powered on and the battery has sufficient charge. Check the speed gear setting. Ensure no physical obstructions are preventing wheel movement.
- Reduced range or power: This may indicate a low battery charge or a battery that is nearing the end of its lifespan. Ensure the battery is fully charged before each ride. Road conditions and driving speed can affect endurance distance.
- Unusual noises or vibrations: Stop riding immediately. Inspect all visible components, including wheels, frame, and handlebars, for loose parts or damage. Contact customer support if the issue persists.
- Charging issues: Ensure the charger is properly connected to both the scooter and a working power outlet. Check the charger's indicator light (if available) for charging status.
