1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the NIXIUKOL Electric Coffee Grinder. This manual provides important information regarding the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new appliance. Please read it thoroughly before first use and keep it for future reference.

2. Important Safety Instructions

  • Always ensure the power cord is detached and the unit is unplugged before cleaning or when not in use.
  • Do not immerse the motor base or power cord in water or any other liquid.
  • This appliance is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
  • Keep hands and utensils out of the grinding chamber during operation to prevent injury.
  • Ensure the lid is securely in place before operating the grinder. The built-in safety switch prevents operation if the lid is not properly seated.
  • For grinding small amounts of spices (e.g., one teaspoon), the grinding effect may not be optimal due to blade clearance. This is a design feature to ensure safety.
  • When grinding hard items like fenugreek seeds, it is recommended to grind in several short bursts for a total of more than 90 seconds to achieve desired consistency and prevent motor strain.
  • Avoid continuous operation for extended periods. Allow the motor to cool down between uses.

7. Troubleshooting

Table 7.1: Common Issues and Solutions
ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Grinder does not start.Lid not properly secured.Ensure the lid is firmly pressed down and locked into place to activate the safety switch.
Grinder does not start.Power cord not connected.Check that the detachable power cord is securely plugged into both the grinder and the wall outlet.
Grinding effect is not good for small amounts of spices.Blades cannot reach very small quantities effectively. This is a design limitation for safety. Consider grinding a slightly larger quantity or using a mortar and pestle for very small amounts.
Motor seems strained or grinding is slow for hard items (e.g., fenugreek seeds).Ingredients are too hard or quantity is too large for a single continuous grind.Grind in short bursts. For very hard items, pre-chop if possible, and grind for longer cumulative durations (e.g., over 90 seconds in multiple cycles).
Ground coffee smells burnt.Over-grinding or continuous operation for too long.Reduce grinding time. Use short pulses rather than continuous grinding, especially for fine grinds. Allow the motor to cool between uses.
