  5. Pair with Your Device: Turn on your vehicle's ignition. The CarPro will enter pairing mode. On your mobile device, go to Bluetooth settings and select "CoolStream CarPro" to pair.
  6. Set Car Stereo to AUX Mode: Your Mercedes stereo needs to be in AUX mode to hear music from the CarPro.

    • Press the "DISC" button until "Audio" appears on the screen's menu.
    • Select "Audio" from the menu using the control knob. A drop-down menu will appear.
    • Scroll to the bottom of the drop-down menu and select "AUX".
    • Note: AUX is typically at the bottom of the menu, so scrolling may be required. The car must be in Park to access this setting.

Operating the CarPro

Once set up, the CoolStream CarPro offers seamless music streaming:

  • Automatic Reconnection: After the initial pairing, the CarPro will automatically reconnect to your mobile device when you start your vehicle's engine.
  • Music Streaming Only: The CarPro is designed exclusively for music streaming. Crystal clear audio will pause for incoming calls or navigation instructions and seamlessly resume when completed. It does not support making or receiving phone calls.
  • Steering Wheel Controls: You can control music saved on your phone using your vehicle's steering wheel buttons, including volume adjustment, pause, and track selection (next/previous). Note that steering wheel buttons cannot control browsing within music apps like Spotify or Apple Music.
  • Song Information Display: Only iPhones support song information display on the car's entertainment screen. Song titles and artist information will not display when streaming from Android phones.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your CoolStream CarPro, try the following solutions:

  • No Music Playing After Pairing:
    • Ensure you have at least one downloaded MP3 song saved in your phone's local music library. The CarPro requires this to be recognized by the car.
    • Verify your car stereo is set to AUX mode.
  • No Sound:
    • Confirm your car's stereo input is correctly set to AUX.
    • Check the volume levels on both your phone and the car stereo.
  • Steering Wheel Controls Not Working for Music Apps (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music):
    • This is a known limitation. Steering wheel controls support volume, pause, and track selection for music saved directly on your phone. They do not support browsing or advanced controls within streaming applications.
  • No Song Display on Android Phone:
    • This is normal behavior. Only iPhones support song information display on the car's screen.
  • Interference or Poor Audio Quality:
    • Ensure the CarPro is securely connected to the 30-pin cable.
    • Try repositioning your phone or the CarPro if possible, away from other electronic devices that might cause interference.
  • Device Not Recognized by Car:
    • Disconnect and reconnect the CarPro from the 30-pin cable.
    • Turn your car off and on again.
    • Forget the CarPro from your phone's Bluetooth settings and re-pair.
