3. Setup

4. Operation: Performing a Blood Glucose Test
Follow these steps to perform a blood glucose test with your OneTouch Verio Flex system:
- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water, then dry them completely.
- Insert a OneTouch Verio Test Strip into the meter's test port. The meter will turn on automatically.
- When the blood drop symbol appears on the display, use the lancing device to prick the side of your fingertip.
- Gently squeeze your finger to obtain a small drop of blood.
- Touch the tip of the test strip to the blood drop. The blood will be drawn into the strip.
- The meter will display your blood glucose result in approximately 5 seconds.
- Note the ColorSure Plus Technology, which provides instant feedback on whether your result is within, above, or below your target range.
- Remove and discard the used test strip and lancet safely.
