2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure the following items are present:

  • NEC VersaPro VX-N Laptop
  • AC Adapter and Power Cord
  • Wireless Mouse (USB receiver included)
  • WPS Office License Card

2.2 Power Connection

  1. Connect the AC adapter to the power input port on the side of the laptop.
  2. Plug the power cord into a wall outlet.
  3. Allow the battery to charge fully before initial use, though you can begin using the laptop while it charges.

2.3 Initial Boot and Windows 10 Setup

  1. Open the laptop lid and press the power button.

3.2 Keyboard and Touchpad

The laptop features a full-sized keyboard and a multi-touch touchpad. Use the touchpad for cursor control and gestures such as scrolling and zooming. External mice can be connected via USB or Bluetooth.

3.3 External Display Connection

To connect an external monitor or projector:

  1. Connect an HDMI cable from the laptop's HDMI port to the external display.
  2. Press the Windows key + P to open the Project menu and select your desired display mode (e.g., Duplicate, Extend, Second screen only).

3.4 Using the DVD Drive

The integrated DVD drive supports reading and writing various disc formats. To open the tray, press the eject button on the drive itself or right-click the drive icon in File Explorer and select Eject.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 No Power

  • Ensure the AC adapter is securely connected to both the laptop and a working power outlet.
  • Check if the power outlet is functional by plugging in another device.
  • If the battery is completely drained, allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on.

5.2 No Display

  • Ensure the laptop is powered on.
  • If an external display is connected, try disconnecting it.
  • Adjust the display brightness using the function keys (Fn + brightness keys).
