2. Safety Information

5. Setup
5.1 Initial Power-On
- Unpack the Brookstone PhotoShare frame and its accessories.
- Connect the power adapter to the DC Power Port on the back of the frame (refer to Figure 4.2).
- Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet. The frame will automatically power on.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to select your language and connect to a Wi-Fi network.
5.2 Connecting to Wi-Fi
- From the main menu, tap on "Settings".
- Select "Wi-Fi" and choose your network from the list.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password using the on-screen keyboard and tap "Connect".
- Once connected, a Wi-Fi icon will appear on the screen.
5.3 Installing the PhotoShare Frame App
To send photos and videos to your frame, download the free PhotoShare Frame app on your smartphone or tablet.
- For iOS devices, search for "PhotoShare Frame" in the Apple App Store.
- For Android devices, search for "PhotoShare Frame" in the Google Play Store.
- Install the app and create an account.

6. Operating the Frame
6.1 Sending Photos and Videos
Photos and videos can be sent to your PhotoShare frame using the PhotoShare Frame app, email, Facebook, or Google Photos.
- Using the PhotoShare Frame App:
- Open the PhotoShare Frame app on your smartphone.
- Select the photos or videos you wish to send.
- Choose your PhotoShare frame(s) as the recipient(s).
- Tap "Send". The content will appear on your frame within seconds.
- Using Email: Each PhotoShare frame has a unique email address. You can find this in the frame's settings. Attach photos/videos to an email and send them to the frame's address.
- Using Facebook/Google Photos: Link your Facebook or Google Photos account within the PhotoShare app to easily share content.

6.2 Navigating the Touchscreen
- Swipe Left/Right: To manually change photos.
- Tap Screen: To access menu options during a slideshow.
- Pinch to Zoom: To zoom in or out on a photo.
6.3 Customizing Display Settings
Access the "Settings" menu on your frame to adjust various display options:
- Slideshow Interval: Set the duration each photo is displayed.
- Transition Effects: Choose how photos transition.
- Brightness: Adjust screen brightness.
- Sleep Mode: Schedule times for the frame to turn off/on automatically.
- Photo Enhancement: Apply digital stickers or borders to photos.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning the Frame
- Always unplug the frame before cleaning.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the screen and frame exterior.
- Do not use liquid cleaners, sprays, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the screen or finish.
7.2 Software Updates
The frame may receive periodic software updates to improve performance and add new features.
- Ensure the frame is connected to Wi-Fi.
- Navigate to "Settings" > "About Frame" > "Check for Updates".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install any available updates. Do not unplug the frame during an update.
