1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the AQQA Submersible Aquarium Water Pump. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, installation, and maintenance of your pump. Please read these instructions thoroughly before use and retain them for future reference.
This submersible pump is designed for various aquatic applications, including aquariums, fish tanks, ponds, and hydroponic systems. It features an adjustable flow rate, ultra-quiet operation, and a high lift capability.
2. Important Safety Instructions
- Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply voltage matches the pump's specifications (110V). Always unplug the pump from the power outlet before performing any maintenance, installation, or when not in use. Do not operate the pump with a damaged cord or plug.
- Submersion: The pump must be completely immersed in water during operation to prevent dry burning, which can damage the motor and void the warranty.
- Temperature: The pump is equipped with an automatic power-off feature if the water temperature exceeds 85°C (185°F) to prevent overheating.
- Placement: Position the pump securely on a flat surface within the water body. Ensure it is not obstructed by debris.
- Children and Pets: Keep the pump and its power cord out of reach of children and pets.
- Intended Use: This pump is designed for water circulation in aquatic environments. Do not use it for flammable liquids, corrosive chemicals, or other non-water applications.

5. Setup Instructions
- Select Nozzle: Choose the appropriate nozzle (13mm or 16mm) for your application. The 13mm nozzle provides a narrower, stronger flow, while the 16mm nozzle offers a wider flow.
- Attach Nozzle: Securely screw the selected nozzle onto the pump's water outlet.
- Placement: Place the pump completely submerged in the water body (aquarium, pond, etc.). Ensure the pump is stable and not resting on loose debris.
- Power Connection: Once the pump is fully submerged, plug the 6ft power cord into a standard 110V electrical outlet.

6. Operating Instructions
- Power On: After proper setup and submersion, plug in the pump to start operation.
- Adjust Flow Rate: Locate the 'FLOW VALVE' rotary knob on the side of the pump. Rotate the knob towards '+' to increase the water flow rate, or towards '-' to decrease it. Note that the flow cannot be completely turned off using this knob.
- Monitoring: Observe the water flow and adjust as needed for your specific application.
- Power Off: To stop the pump, unplug it from the electrical outlet. Always unplug before removing the pump from water.

7. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your AQQA water pump.
- Disconnect Power: Always unplug the pump from the power source before any maintenance.
- Remove from Water: Carefully remove the pump from the water body.
- Disassemble: Gently twist and pull the base of the pump to detach it. This will expose the impeller assembly.
- Clean Impeller: Remove the impeller and clean it thoroughly with a soft brush and clean water to remove any accumulated debris, algae, or mineral deposits. Ensure the impeller shaft is also clean.
- Clean Inlet Cover: Clean the protective water inlet cover to ensure unrestricted water flow.
- Reassemble: Reassemble the pump by carefully placing the impeller back and securing the base. Ensure all parts are fitted correctly.
- Frequency: Clean the pump regularly, especially if you notice a decrease in flow rate or increased noise.
