Setup

  1. Fill the Clean Water Tank: Remove the clean water tank from the unit. Unscrew the cap and fill the tank with hot tap water up to the indicated fill line. Add the recommended amount of BISSELL cleaning formula (trial size PRO MAX Clean and Protect or OXY Boost) as per the instructions on the formula bottle. Securely replace the cap and reattach the tank to the unit.
  2. Attach the Desired Tool: Connect the flexible hose to the cleaner unit. Select the appropriate cleaning tool (3-inch Tough Stain Brush, 3-in-1 Stair Tool, or HydroRinse Self-Cleaning Tool) and securely attach it to the end of the hose.
  3. Power Connection: Unwind the 22-foot power cord and plug the cleaner into a grounded electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

Before cleaning, vacuum the area to remove any loose dirt or debris. For best results, pre-treat tough stains with BISSELL pre-treatment solutions.

  1. Power On: Press the red power button located on the top of the unit to turn on the cleaner.
  2. Spray Cleaning Solution: Hold the selected tool directly over the stained area. Press the spray trigger on the tool handle to release the cleaning solution onto the stain. Ensure the area is adequately saturated.
  3. Scrub the Stain: Gently scrub the stained area with the brush on the cleaning tool. Use back-and-forth motions to work the solution into the carpet or upholstery fibers.
  4. Vacuum the Dirty Water: Release the spray trigger and tilt the tool slightly to engage the suction nozzle. Slowly pull the tool over the treated area to vacuum up the dirty solution. Repeat this step until no more dirty water can be extracted.
  5. Repeat if Necessary: For stubborn stains, repeat steps 2-4 until the stain is removed.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your cleaner.

  1. Empty and Rinse Dirty Water Tank: After each use, remove the dirty water tank from the unit. Open the tank and pour out the dirty water. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water and allow it to air dry before reattaching.
  2. Rinse Clean Water Tank: If there is any remaining solution, empty it and rinse the clean water tank with fresh water.
  3. Clean Tools and Hose:
    • Remove any attached cleaning tools and rinse them under running water.
    • Attach the HydroRinse Self-Cleaning Tool to the hose. Turn on the machine and press the spray trigger while holding the HydroRinse tool over a sink. This will flush clean water through the hose, cleaning out any residue. Continue until the water runs clear.
  4. Wipe Down Unit: Wipe the exterior of the cleaner unit with a soft cloth to remove any dirt or residue.
  5. Store Properly: Wrap the power cord neatly and store the cleaner and its tools in a dry, safe place.
