4. Installation Guide

4.1. Drywall Installation
- Level and Mark Holes: Position the wall plate on the desired location on your drywall. Use a level to ensure it is straight, then mark the two screw holes with a pencil.

- Drill Pilot Holes: Using a drill, create pilot holes at the marked locations. Ensure the drill bit size matches the recommended size for the drywall anchors.

4.2. Wood Stud Installation
- Find Center of Stud: Use a stud finder to locate the center of a wood stud at your desired mounting height. Mark the center line.
- Mark Holes and Drill: Position the wall plate on the marked stud center line. Use a level to ensure it is straight, then mark the two screw holes. Drill pilot holes at these locations, ensuring the drill bit size is appropriate for the wood screws.
4.3. Attaching the Mount and Echo Device
These steps apply to both drywall and wood stud installations once the pilot holes/anchors are ready.
- Attach Wall Plate: Secure the wall plate to the wall using the provided screws (wood screws for studs, assembly screws for drywall anchors). Ensure it is firmly attached.
- Assemble Cradle (if not pre-assembled): If the cradle is separate from the main bracket, attach it using the provided assembly screw.
- Slide On Mount: Slide the assembled mount (main bracket with cradle) onto the wall plate. It should click securely into place.
- Plug in Echo: Carefully place your Amazon Echo (4th Generation) into the mount's cradle. Plug the power cable into the Echo device.
- Secure Speaker: Use the provided speaker screw to secure the Echo device to the mount from the bottom. This prevents accidental dislodging.
- Power Up: Plug the Echo's power adapter into a wall outlet.
- Cable Management: Route the power cable through the integrated cable management channels on the mount to keep the setup clean and tidy. Use the provided cap to secure the cable within the channel.
