3. Setup and Assembly

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage that may have occurred during shipping. Retain packaging materials until you are satisfied with the product's condition and operation.

3.2 Assembling the Folding Stand

  1. Place the table saw unit upside down on a stable, padded surface to prevent damage.
  2. Unfold the legs of the stand. Ensure all locking mechanisms are securely engaged.
  3. Attach the table saw unit to the stand using the provided bolts and nuts. Tighten all fasteners securely.
  4. Carefully flip the assembled saw and stand upright. Ensure it is stable and level before proceeding.

3.3 Installing the Saw Blade

  1. Disconnect the saw from the power source.
  2. Remove the throat plate.
  3. Use the provided wrenches to loosen the arbor nut while holding the arbor lock.
  4. Place the new 10-inch blade onto the arbor, ensuring the teeth are pointing towards the front of the saw.
  5. Tighten the arbor nut securely.
  6. Reinstall the throat plate.

3.4 Installing Safety Guards

Ensure the blade guard assembly and riving knife are properly installed and aligned. The riving knife should be slightly narrower than the blade and aligned with it to prevent pinching and kickback.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

The saw is equipped with a safety power switch. To turn on, press the green "ON" button. To turn off, press the red "OFF" button. In case of emergency, the large red button can be pressed to quickly shut off the saw.

4.2 Adjusting Blade Height and Bevel

  • Blade Height: Rotate the blade height adjustment wheel to raise or lower the blade. For most cuts, the blade should extend approximately 1/8 inch above the workpiece.
  • Bevel Angle: Loosen the bevel adjustment lever and tilt the blade to the desired angle (0-45 degrees). Securely tighten the lever before cutting.

4.3 Using the Rip Fence

The rip fence guides the workpiece for accurate parallel cuts. Loosen the fence lock, slide the fence to the desired measurement, and then securely lock it in place. Always verify the fence is parallel to the blade before making a cut.

4.4 Using the Miter Gauge

Insert the miter gauge into the miter slot on the table. Adjust the angle for cross-cuts or angled cuts. Hold the workpiece firmly against the miter gauge and the table when feeding.

4.5 Cutting Techniques

  • Ripping: Use the rip fence to cut wood along its grain. Always use a push stick for narrow cuts.
  • Cross-cutting: Use the miter gauge to cut wood across its grain.
  • Dadoes/Grooves: (If applicable, requires specific blade) Refer to specialized instructions for these operations.

Important: Never force the workpiece into the blade. Feed material at a consistent, moderate speed. Avoid cutting warped or twisted wood that cannot lie flat on the table.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your table saw. Always disconnect the saw from the power source before performing any maintenance or cleaning.

5.1 Cleaning

  • Dust Collection: Connect a shop vacuum to the dust collection port to minimize sawdust buildup. Regularly empty the dust bag/container.
  • Sawdust Removal: Use a brush or compressed air to remove sawdust from the motor housing, blade area, and adjustment mechanisms. Ensure the dust collection port is not dislodged during cleaning.
  • Table Top: Clean the table surface with a dry cloth. Apply a thin coat of paste wax periodically to reduce friction and prevent rust.

5.2 Blade Care and Replacement

  • Keep the blade clean and sharp. A dull blade can cause kickback and strain the motor.
  • Replace worn or damaged blades immediately. Refer to Section 3.3 for blade installation.
  • Use only 10-inch blades designed for table saws.

5.3 Storage

When not in use, store the table saw in a dry, secure location out of reach of children. The folding stand allows for compact storage.
