Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your pendant light fixture:
- Prepare the Cable: If the PVC cable is not perfectly straight out of the package, hang the light loosely for 1-2 days or gently rub the cable with a wipe cloth 4-5 times to help straighten it.
- Turn Off Power: Before starting any electrical work, turn off the power at the main circuit breaker.
- Install Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the ceiling junction box using the provided screws.
- Adjust Cable Length: Determine the desired hanging height for your pendant light. The cable is adjustable from 9 inches to 66 inches. Adjust the cable length by pushing the cable through the canopy.
- Wire Connections: Connect the fixture's wires to the corresponding household wires using the wire nuts. Typically, black to black (Live), white to white (Neutral), and green/bare copper to green/bare copper (Ground).
- Secure Canopy: Carefully push the wires into the junction box and secure the fixture canopy to the mounting bracket with the provided screws.
- Install Glass Shade: Attach the clear glass shade to the fixture.
- Install Bulb: Screw an E26 base bulb (not included) into the socket. Ensure the bulb wattage does not exceed 60W.
