Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your desk.

  • Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or polishes that may damage the finish.
  • Spills: Immediately wipe up any spills to prevent staining or damage to the engineered wood surfaces.
  • Fasteners: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as necessary to maintain stability.
  • Placement: Avoid placing the desk in direct sunlight or near heat sources, as this can cause material degradation or discoloration.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your desk, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Issue: The desk feels wobbly or unstable.
Solution: Ensure all assembly screws and bolts are fully tightened. Check that the desk is placed on a level surface. Adjust the anti-slip feet if necessary to compensate for uneven floors.
  • Issue: The drawer or keyboard tray does not slide smoothly.
Solution: Verify that the drawer/tray rails are correctly installed and aligned according to the assembly manual. Check for any obstructions in the tracks. Ensure the drawer/tray is not overloaded.
  • Issue: Missing parts during assembly.
Solution: Carefully check all packaging materials. If parts are genuinely missing, contact HOMCOM customer support with your product model number and a description of the missing components.
