Setup

Mounting the Dash Cam

Follow these steps to securely mount your Nextbase 622GW Dash Cam:

  1. Prepare Materials: Ensure you have the Click&Go PRO Mount, the 622GW Dash Cam, and the provided wet & dry wipes.
  2. Connect Mount to Camera: Attach the Click&Go PRO Mount to the dash cam. A strong magnet will hold the camera in place.
  3. Test Fit Position: Position the camera on your windscreen as a test fit. Ensure the 'Protect' button is accessible and the driver's view is not obstructed.
  4. Note Position: Make a note of the exact position of the mount on the windscreen.
  5. Clean Windscreen: Use the wet wipe (Wipes 1) to thoroughly clean the area where the mount will be fitted. Follow with the dry wipe (Wipes 2) to ensure the area is completely dry.
  6. Attach 3M Pad: Remove the protective film from the 3M adhesive pad on the mount. Ensure the keyway on the mount is on the bottom left-hand side. Push the pad firmly towards the windscreen for 5-10 seconds to ensure maximum contact between the adhesive and glass.
  7. Slide Mount: Align the keyway on the mount to the pad and slide the mount until it clicks securely in place.
  8. Connect Power: Connect the USB power cable to the mount.
  9. Fit Dash Cam: Ensure the Dash Cam is correctly positioned on the mount and powers on.

Recording Modes

The 622GW offers several recording modes to ensure comprehensive coverage:

  • Continuous Recording: The dash cam automatically begins recording when powered on, looping over older, unprotected footage when the memory card is full.
  • Protected Files: In the event of an impact (detected by the G-sensor) or a manual press of the 'Protect' button, the current recording segment is locked and saved, preventing it from being overwritten.
  • Intelligent Parking Mode: When your vehicle is parked and the ignition is off, the dash cam will automatically record if physical movement or impact is detected.

Key Features

The built-in image stabilization technology reduces vibrations from your vehicle, resulting in super smooth and crystal-clear video. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Nextbase 622GW Dash Cam, regular maintenance is recommended:

  • MicroSD Card Formatting: Regularly format your MicroSD card (at least once a month) to prevent data corruption and ensure smooth recording. This can typically be done through the dash cam's menu settings.
  • Lens Cleaning: Keep the dash cam lens clean from dust, smudges, and fingerprints. Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optics. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
  • Mount Security: Periodically check that the dash cam mount is securely attached to the windscreen. If the adhesive shows signs of weakening, consider replacing the adhesive pad.
  • Firmware Updates: Check for available firmware updates via the MyNextbase Connect app or the Nextbase website. Keeping your firmware updated ensures you have the latest features and bug fixes.
