1. Introduction and Overview

The PARKVISION PRO120 is a versatile car reversing camera designed to enhance vehicle safety and parking assistance. This camera system operates on an NTSC TV video system, utilizing a CVBS signal and an RCA video interface. It is crucial to verify your monitor's compatibility with the NTSC system before installation. If your display only supports the PAL TV system, this camera will not function correctly.

5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Compatibility Check

Before installation, ensure your vehicle's monitor or head unit supports the NTSC TV system and has an RCA video input. The PRO120 camera is not compatible with PAL-only systems.

5.2 Mounting the Camera

The PRO120 camera offers flexible mounting options. Choose a location that provides the best rear or front view, typically near the license plate or bumper. Use the provided gaskets for secure installation.

5.3 Adjusting the Camera Angle

The camera comes with two adjustable joints. One joint allows for a 5° adjustment, and using both joints enables approximately 10° of adjustment. This allows you to fine-tune the camera's viewing angle for optimal visibility.

5.4 Wiring Diagram

Follow the wiring diagram carefully. Ensure all connections are secure. Use the provided video extension cable (6.5m) and DC power cable.

  • Connect the black wire of the smart remote button to GND.
  • Connect the red wire of the DC power cable to the reverse lamp power (+12V) for rear view functionality.
  • For standalone monitors, the red wire from the video extension cable does not need to be connected.
  • For double DIN head units, connect the red wire from the video extension cable to the 'Reverse Trigger Wire' of the head unit.

6. Operating Instructions

The PRO120 camera features a smart remote button (black button) for various image adjustments. Press the button to cycle through options or hold it for specific functions.

6.1 Front View / Rear View Switching

The camera can be configured for either front or rear view applications. Use the smart remote button to toggle between these modes as needed.

6.2 Image Vertical Up-down Flip Function

If the camera is mounted in an inverted position or requires a vertical image flip for front view applications, use the smart remote button to activate this function.

6.3 Parking Lines Selection

The camera offers 4 optional parking guide lines. You can select the most suitable lines for your vehicle or deactivate them entirely using the smart remote button.

6.4 Brightness Adjustment

The camera features 5 levels of brightness adjustment. Use the smart remote button to increase or decrease the image brightness to improve visibility in various lighting conditions.

6.5 Off-Center Adjustment (Image Shift)

If the camera is mounted off-center, the image can be adjusted horizontally or vertically to center the view. Use the smart remote button to perform these adjustments.
