4. Setup

Follow these steps for proper installation and setup of your GIANDEL inverter.

4.1 Installation Location:

  • Choose a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area.
  • Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.
  • Ensure sufficient clearance around the inverter for proper airflow, especially around the cooling fans.

4.2 Wiring Instructions:

  1. Before making any connections, ensure the inverter is turned OFF and the positive battery terminal is disconnected.
  2. Connect the provided battery cables to the inverter's DC input terminals. Ensure the positive (+) cable (red) connects to the positive terminal and the negative (-) cable (black) connects to the negative terminal.
  3. Connect the other end of the battery cables to your 24V battery. Again, ensure positive to positive and negative to negative.
  4. Connect the grounding cable from the inverter's grounding screw to a proper earth ground.
  5. Plug your AC appliances into the inverter's AC outlets.
  6. Connect the remote control cable to the RJ10 port on the inverter if you wish to use the remote function.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Turning On/Off:

  • After all connections are secure, press the Power button on the inverter or the remote control to turn the unit ON. The LED display will illuminate, showing input voltage and output power.
  • To turn OFF, press the Power button again.
  • Do not leave the inverter in the ON position when your vehicle's engine is off to prevent battery drain.

5.2 Using the USB Port:

The inverter includes a 5V/2.4A USB port for charging compatible USB devices. Simply plug your device's USB cable into the port.

5.3 Load Management:

  • Ensure the total power consumption of connected AC devices does not exceed 3000W.
  • For inductive loads (e.g., motors, compressors, refrigerators), the starting surge power can be significantly higher than the running power. Ensure the inverter's surge capacity can handle these loads.
  • If the inverter shuts down due to overload, reduce the connected load and restart the inverter.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your inverter.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the inverter with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the cooling fans and vents are free from dust and obstructions. Blocked vents can lead to overheating.
  • Connections: Regularly check all electrical connections (battery cables, grounding wire, AC plugs) to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
  • Storage: If storing the inverter for an extended period, disconnect it from the battery and store it in a cool, dry place.
