Setup
- Mounting: The RideDash Plus is designed for easy and wireless mounting on your bicycle handlebars or stem. Ensure the mount is securely fastened to prevent movement during rides.
- Initial Power-On: Press and hold the center button to power on the device. The display will illuminate.
- E-Bike System Pairing (ANT+):
- Ensure your e-bike system is powered on and active.
- The RideDash Plus will automatically attempt to connect to your e-bike's ANT+ system.
- A successful connection will be indicated on the display, allowing wireless transmission of e-bike data.
- Time and Unit Settings: Refer to the on-screen prompts or navigate through the settings menu using the left and right buttons to set the correct time and preferred units (e.g., km/h or mph).
Operating Instructions
The RideDash Plus provides real-time cycling and e-bike status information. Use the buttons at the bottom of the device to navigate through different display screens and settings.
- Display Information:
- Cycling Data: Speed (current, average, max), time, and distance.
- E-Bike Status: Assist level, battery capacity, and estimated remaining range.
- Button Functions: The device features three buttons: a center button and two arrow buttons (left and right).
- Center Button: Typically used for confirming selections or entering/exiting menus.
- Left/Right Arrow Buttons: Used for navigating through display screens, adjusting settings, or changing values.
- E-Bike System Connection: The computer relies on an active e-bike system connection via ANT+ for full functionality. If the e-bike is switched off, the RideDash Plus will lose its connection to the e-bike system and will not be able to save or display e-bike specific data for that trip. Basic cycling data (speed, time, distance) may still be recorded if the device has its own sensors or GPS, but e-bike integration will be absent.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the screen or casing.
- Battery: The device includes a battery. If the battery is user-replaceable, follow the instructions in the full product manual for replacement. Ensure proper disposal of old batteries according to local regulations.
