2. Safety Information
- Electrical Safety: Installation should only be performed by a qualified electrician. Ensure the main power supply is disconnected before installation or maintenance to prevent electric shock.
- Battery Handling: Use only the specified battery type (2x AA, 1.5V). Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries. Dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
- Placement: Install the thermostat away from direct sunlight, drafts, and heat sources (e.g., radiators, lamps) to ensure accurate temperature readings.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
3. Setup
3.1. Battery Installation
The thermostat requires 2 AA (1.5V) batteries for operation. These are not included with the product.
- Gently open the battery compartment cover, usually located on the back or side of the unit.
- Insert two AA 1.5V batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
3.2. Mounting and Wiring
This is a wall-mounted thermostat with a 3-wire connection. Ensure the power supply is OFF before proceeding with wiring.
- Separate the mounting plate from the thermostat unit.
- Position the mounting plate on the desired wall location, ensuring it is level and away from heat sources or drafts. Mark the drilling points.
- Drill holes and insert wall plugs (if necessary). Secure the mounting plate to the wall using screws.
- Connect the thermostat wires to the appropriate terminals on the mounting plate. Refer to the wiring diagram provided in the product packaging for specific connections (L, N, NO, NC).
- Carefully attach the thermostat unit to the mounted plate, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
