Setup Instructions

1. Attaching the Mount Head to the Base

The universal mount head can be attached to either the suction cup base or the vent clip. Ensure the lock nut is loosened before inserting the ball joint of the base into the socket of the mount head. Tighten the lock nut to secure the connection.

2. Choosing Your Mounting Option

Select the appropriate base for your desired mounting location:

• For Windshield/Dashboard: Use the suction cup base. Clean the surface with the provided wipe and allow it to dry completely. Press the suction cup firmly onto the desired flat surface and engage the lever to create a strong vacuum seal.
• For Air Vent: Use the vent clip. Securely attach the vent clip to a horizontal or vertical air vent slat.

3. Adjusting the Mount

Once the mount is securely attached, adjust the arm and mount head to your preferred viewing angle. The 360-degree rotation allows for both portrait and landscape orientations. Tighten any adjustable lock nuts to fix the position.

Operating Instructions

1. Inserting Your Phone

Place your smartphone onto the bottom feet of the mount. The weight of the phone will trigger the automatic closing arms to securely grip your device. Ensure your phone is centered for a stable hold.

2. Removing Your Phone

To release your phone, press the release button located on the back of the mount head. The arms will open, allowing you to easily remove your device.

3. Charging and Accessibility

The mount is designed to provide full access to your phone's screen and charging ports, allowing you to charge your device or connect accessories while it is mounted.

Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Scosche GHVWD mount, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning the Suction Cup: If the suction cup loses its grip, rinse it with warm water and let it air dry. Do not use cloths or abrasive materials, as this can damage the adhesive surface.
• General Cleaning: Use the provided cleaning wipe or a soft, damp cloth to clean the mount head and other components. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Storage: When not in use, store the mount in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent material degradation.

Troubleshooting

• Mount Not Sticking to Surface:
  • Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and smooth. Use the cleaning wipe to remove any dust or residue.
  • Verify the suction cup lever is fully engaged after pressing the cup firmly onto the surface.
  • For dashboard mounting, ensure the surface is flat and non-porous. Some textured dashboards may require an adhesive disc (not included) for optimal adhesion.
• Phone Not Securely Held:
  • Confirm the phone is placed correctly on the bottom feet to activate the automatic closing arms.
  • Check that your phone's width is within the 3.5-inch maximum capacity of the mount.
• Mount Position Shifts:
  • Tighten all adjustable lock nuts on the mount arm and head to prevent unwanted movement.
  • Ensure the suction cup is firmly attached and has not lost its seal.
