1. Introduction
The iDOO Hydroponics Growing System ID-IG201 is an indoor herb garden starter kit designed for cultivating plants without soil. It features a water circulation system, LED grow lights, and smart modes to support plant growth from germination to harvest. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your hydroponic system.

2. Components Overview
Before assembly, ensure all components are present:
- Hydroponic Growing System Base with Water Tank
- Adjustable LED Grow Light Panel
- 7 Plant Pods (Baskets)
- 7 Grow Sponges
- Nutrient Solutions (A and B)
- Dome Covers for Germination
- Plant Support Sticks (if included)

3. Setup Instructions
- Assemble the System: Place the LED grow light panel onto the adjustable pole and secure it to the system base.
- Prepare Water and Nutrients: Fill the water tank with clean water up to the 'Max' line. Add the recommended amount of Nutrient Solution A and Nutrient Solution B according to the instructions on the bottles. Stir gently to mix.
- Plant Seeds: Place one or two seeds into each grow sponge. Insert the seeded sponges into the plant pods. Place the pods into the designated holes on the system base. For optimal germination, cover each pod with a clear dome.
- Initial Light Adjustment: Position the LED grow light panel approximately 4-6 inches above the plant pods.

4. Operating Instructions
The system features smart modes for lighting and water circulation.
4.1. LED Grow Light Modes
The 24-Watt LED lights simulate the sunlight spectrum. Select the appropriate mode based on plant growth stage:
- NORMAL MODE: 14 hours on, 10 hours off. Uses red, blue, and white LED lights. Suitable for sprouts, seedlings, and young plants.
- GROW MODE: 16 hours on, 8 hours off. Uses red and white LED lights. Ideal for growing plants.
- ENJOY MODE: 12 hours on, 12 hours off. Uses 50% red and white LED lights. Good for grown plants and flowering stages. Lights will be less intense in this mode.

4.2. Water Pump Circulation Modes
The water pump ensures oxygenation of the water.
- Normal Mode: The water pump operates for 5 minutes and pauses for 30 minutes.
- Sleep Mode: To activate, long-press the "PUMP SWITCH" button for 5 seconds. The pump will turn off for 12 hours and then resume its normal cycle. This mode is useful for reducing noise during rest periods.
4.3. Height Adjustment
The height of the LED grow light panel is adjustable to accommodate plants at different growth stages. Raise the light as plants grow to maintain the optimal distance (typically 4-6 inches above the tallest plant).

Figure 5: The adjustable lamp pole allows for varying plant heights up to 16 inches.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures healthy plant growth and system longevity.
- Water Level: Monitor the water level regularly. Refill the tank with fresh water when the level is low.
- Nutrient Replenishment: Add nutrient solutions according to the plant's needs and the manufacturer's recommendations (typically every 1-2 weeks or with water refills).
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the water tank and pump to prevent algae buildup and ensure optimal performance. Disconnect power before cleaning.
6. Troubleshooting
Common issues and their solutions:
- Seeds Not Germinating: Ensure proper temperature, adequate moisture (use dome covers), and fresh seeds. Some seeds may require soaking before planting.
- Slow Growth: Check nutrient levels and light distance. Ensure the correct light mode is selected for the plant's stage.
- Algae Growth: This can occur due to excessive light exposure to the water or high nutrient levels. Ensure pods are covered and clean the tank regularly.
- Leaves Burning/Leggy Plants: Adjust the height of the grow light. If leaves are burning, the light is too close. If plants are leggy (stretching), the light is too far away.
- Water Pump Malfunction: Check for blockages in the pump or tubing. Ensure the pump is properly connected and the water level is sufficient.
