Setup
1. Battery Installation and Charging:

2. Attaching the Belt Clip:
Attach the unique belt clip to the back of the radio for convenient carrying.
3. Connecting Earpieces:
For private communication or hands-free operation, connect the acoustic tube earpiece to the Accessory Port (8) on the side of the radio.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off and Volume Adjustment:
- To power on the radio, rotate the Power/Volume Knob (6) clockwise until you hear a click and the radio announces the current channel.
- To power off, rotate the knob counter-clockwise until it clicks off.
- Adjust the volume by rotating the Power/Volume Knob (6) clockwise to increase and counter-clockwise to decrease.
2. Channel Selection:
The TD-M8s features 22 preset FRS channels. To communicate with other radios, ensure all radios are set to the same channel.
- Use the Channel Selector Plus (+) button (3) to move to a higher channel number.
- Use the Channel Selector Reduce (-) button (4) to move to a lower channel number.

3. Transmitting and Receiving:
- To transmit, press and hold the PTT (Push-to-Talk) button (2) on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the Mic (9) located at the bottom of the radio. The Indicator Light (5) will illuminate red during transmission.
- Release the PTT button to stop transmitting and return to receive mode. The Indicator Light (5) will illuminate green when receiving a signal.
4. VOX (Voice Operated Exchange) Function:
The VOX function allows for hands-free operation, enabling transmission when your voice is detected, without needing to press the PTT button.
- To activate VOX: On Channel 5, turn off the radio. Press and hold the PTT button (2) and the Channel Selector Reduce (-) button (4) simultaneously while turning on the radio. You will hear a voice prompt "VOX ON" or "VOX OFF".

5. CTCSS and DCS (Privacy Codes):
The TD-M8s supports 50 CTCSS and 105 DCS codes per channel to help filter out unwanted conversations from other users on the same channel. While these codes do not guarantee privacy, they help reduce interference.
- These codes are typically programmed using software. Ensure all radios in your group are set to the same channel and CTCSS/DCS code for proper communication.
6. Scan Function:
