1. Important Safeguards

Please read all instructions carefully before using your CUCKOO Electric Pressure Cooker. Failure to follow these safeguards may result in property damage, personal injury, or death.

• Always ensure the lid is properly closed and locked before operating.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or heating unit in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
• Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'off', then remove plug from wall outlet.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
• This appliance cooks under pressure. Improper use may result in scalding injury. Make certain unit is properly closed before operating.
• Never force open the pressure cooker. Do not open until unit has cooled and internal pressure has been released.
• Do not fill unit over 2/3 full. When cooking foods that expand during cooking such as rice or dried vegetables, do not fill unit over 1/2 full.
• Always check the pressure release valve for clogging before use.

3. Setup

Unboxing and Initial Cleaning:

1. Carefully remove all packaging materials, including any protective films or stickers.
2. Wash the inner pot, rice spatula, rice measuring cup, and steam plate with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
4. Ensure the steam release valve and water collector are clean and properly installed.

Component Assembly:

• Place the clean inner pot into the main unit. Ensure it sits properly and is level.
• Close the lid firmly until it locks into place. The voice guide will confirm the lid is locked.
• Ensure the steam release valve is set to the 'Sealing' position for pressure cooking.

4. Operating Instructions

Basic Cooking Steps:

1. Add desired ingredients (e.g., rice, water, vegetables) to the inner pot. Do not exceed the maximum fill lines.
2. Place the inner pot into the main unit and close the lid securely.
3. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
4. Use the 'Menu Selection' button to cycle through the available cooking modes (e.g., White Rice, Brown Rice, Porridge, Slow Cook, Sous Vide).
5. Once the desired mode is selected, press the 'Start' button. The cooker will begin the cooking process.
6. After cooking is complete, the cooker will automatically switch to 'Keep Warm' mode.
7. To open the lid, ensure the pressure has been fully released. Turn the steam release valve to the 'Vent' position if necessary. Once the float valve drops, it is safe to open the lid.
