2.1 Package Contents

2.2 Connectivity Options

The Spectre keyboard supports three connection modes:

1. USB-C Wired: Connect the keyboard directly to your device using the provided USB-C cable.
2. 2.4GHz Wireless: Insert the 2.4GHz wireless dongle into a USB-A port on your device. Ensure the keyboard's mode switch is set to 2.4G.
3. Bluetooth 5.0: Set the keyboard's mode switch to BT. On your device, search for and pair with 'TECWARE Spectre'.

3.1 Basic Key Functions

4.1 RGB Illumination

The keyboard features 16.8 million color RGB illumination with per-key customization, a stunning RGB LED side underglow, and 3-zone RGB lighting for keys, underglow, and the volume wheel. There are 18 preset lighting modes available, which can be toggled via the in-built display or through the dedicated software.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Hot-Swappable Switches

The Spectre keyboard features 5-pin hot-swappable sockets, allowing for easy replacement of switches without soldering. The south-facing LEDs ensure compatibility with most aftermarket switches.

5.2 Replacing Switches

To replace a switch:

1. Use the keycap puller to gently remove the keycap from the desired switch.
2. Use the switch puller to latch onto the top and bottom prongs of the switch. Squeeze the prongs and pull vertically to remove the switch.
3. Align the pins of the new switch with the sockets on the PCB. Gently push down until the switch clicks into place.
4. Re-attach the keycap.

5.3 Installing the Space Bar Silencer

The spacebar silencer pad is not pre-installed. To install it:

1. Remove the spacebar keycap.
2. Carefully place the silencer pad onto the stabilizer stems beneath the spacebar.
3. Re-attach the spacebar keycap, ensuring it sits correctly over the silencer pad.

5.4 Replacing the Screen Protector

If the screen protector on your LCD screen needs replacement:

1. Gently peel off the old screen protector.
2. Clean the LCD surface to remove any dust or smudges.
3. Align the new screen protector with the LCD screen and carefully apply it, smoothing out any air bubbles.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your TECWARE Spectre keyboard, please refer to the following common solutions:

• Keyboard Not Responding:
  • Ensure the keyboard is fully charged or connected via USB-C.
  • Check the mode switch (USB-C, 2.4G, BT) is set correctly for your connection type.
  • For 2.4GHz wireless, ensure the dongle is securely plugged in.
  • For Bluetooth, ensure the keyboard is paired and within range. Try re-pairing if necessary.
  • Restart your computer.
• Keys Not Registering or Double Typing:

  • If a specific switch is faulty, replace it with one of the spare switches provided.
• RGB Lighting Issues:
  • Ensure the keyboard is powered on.

• Software Not Detecting Keyboard:
  • Ensure the keyboard is connected via USB-C. Wireless modes may not be fully supported by the software for initial detection.
  • Reinstall the software.
