1. Product Overview

2. Product Components

The SINGER Compact Fabric Shaver and Lint Remover includes the main unit, a detachable lint catcher, and a small cleaning brush.

3. Setup

Battery Installation:

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the handle of the fabric shaver.
2. Slide the cover downwards to open the battery compartment.
3. Insert two (2) AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment. Batteries are not included.
4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

4. Operating Instructions

Using the Fabric Shaver:

1. Ensure the fabric shaver has fresh batteries installed and the lint catcher is empty and securely attached.
2. Lay the garment or fabric flat on a hard, smooth surface. Stretch the fabric taut to ensure a smooth surface for shaving.
3. Press the ON/OFF button located on the handle to activate the shaver.
4. Gently glide the shaver's mesh head over the pilled or fuzzy areas of the fabric. Apply light, even pressure. Avoid pressing too hard to prevent damage to the fabric.
5. Move the shaver in small, circular motions or short, straight strokes, depending on the fabric and the type of pilling.
6. Periodically check the lint catcher and empty it when it becomes full to maintain optimal performance.
7. Once finished, press the ON/OFF button to turn off the shaver.

5. Maintenance

Cleaning the Lint Catcher:

1. Ensure the shaver is turned OFF before cleaning.
2. Twist the transparent lint catcher counter-clockwise to detach it from the main unit.
3. Empty the collected lint and fuzz into a waste bin.
4. Reattach the lint catcher by twisting it clockwise until it is securely in place.

Cleaning the Blades and Mesh:

1. With the lint catcher removed, use the provided small cleaning brush to gently brush away any lint or debris from the stainless steel blades and the inner side of the mesh cover.
2. Do not use water or any liquid cleaners on the blades or mesh.
3. Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling.

6. Troubleshooting

• Shaver not turning on:
  Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the right polarity. Replace old or depleted batteries with new AA batteries. Ensure the battery compartment cover is securely closed.
• Reduced performance or not removing lint effectively:
  The lint catcher may be full; empty it. The blades or mesh may be clogged with lint; clean them using the provided brush. The batteries may be low; replace them.
• Fabric damage:
  Ensure the fabric is laid flat and taut. Avoid applying excessive pressure. Do not use on delicate fabrics that are not suitable for shaving.
• Unusual noise:
  Check if the lint catcher is properly attached. Ensure there are no foreign objects caught in the blades.
