Setup
1. Winding the Watch
Your Pagani Design PD-1645 is an automatic mechanical watch, meaning it is powered by the motion of your wrist. However, if the watch has stopped or has not been worn for an extended period, it requires initial winding.
- Manual Winding: Unscrew the crown (if applicable) and turn it clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will provide sufficient power reserve to start the watch.
- Automatic Winding: Once manually wound, wearing the watch for at least 8-10 hours a day will keep it sufficiently wound through your natural arm movements.
2. Setting the Time and Date
The crown has multiple positions for setting the time and date.
- Position 0 (Normal Position): Crown fully pushed in and screwed down (if applicable). The watch is running and water-resistant.
- Position 1 (Date Setting): Gently pull the crown out to the first click. Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement. If the current time falls within this window, first set the time outside this window, then set the date, and finally reset the correct time.
- Position 2 (Time Setting): Pull the crown out to the second click. The second hand will stop (hacking feature). Turn the crown to set the hour and minute hands. To ensure accuracy, set the time a few minutes ahead and then turn backward to the exact time. Push the crown back to Position 0 and screw it down firmly to restart the second hand and ensure water resistance.

3. Bracelet Adjustment
The stainless steel bracelet can be adjusted to fit your wrist. This typically involves removing or adding links. It is highly recommended to have this adjustment performed by a professional watchmaker or jeweler to prevent damage to the bracelet or watch.

Operating Your Watch
Automatic Movement (Japan NH35A)
The PD-1645 is equipped with a Japan NH35A automatic movement. This movement is known for its reliability and accuracy. It features:
- Self-Winding: The rotor inside the watch winds the mainspring with the motion of your arm.
- Manual Winding Capability: Allows for initial winding or topping up the power reserve by turning the crown.
- Hacking Seconds: The second hand stops when the crown is pulled out to the time-setting position, allowing for precise time synchronization.

Water Resistance
The Pagani Design PD-1645 watch is water-resistant up to 100 meters (10 ATM). This makes it suitable for:
- Daily use, including splashes, rain, and showering.
- Swimming and snorkeling.
Important: Ensure the crown is always fully pushed in and screwed down (if applicable) before exposing the watch to water. Do not operate the crown while the watch is wet or submerged, as this can compromise water resistance.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To maintain the appearance of your watch:
- Wipe the case and bracelet with a soft, dry cloth regularly.
- For stainless steel, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaning materials.
Storage
When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keeping it in its original box or a watch winder (if you have one) is ideal.
Avoiding Magnetic Fields
Mechanical watches can be affected by strong magnetic fields, which may cause them to run inaccurately. Keep your watch away from strong magnets found in speakers, refrigerators, mobile phones, and certain electronic devices.
Regular Servicing
Like any precision mechanical instrument, your watch benefits from periodic servicing. It is recommended to have your watch inspected and serviced by a qualified watchmaker every 3-5 years to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the movement.
Troubleshooting
- Watch has stopped or is running slow: The watch may need to be wound. Manually wind the watch by turning the crown 30-40 times clockwise. Ensure you are wearing the watch regularly for sufficient automatic winding.
- Date changes at noon instead of midnight: This indicates the watch's AM/PM setting is incorrect. Advance the time by 12 hours.
- Watch running too fast or too slow: Minor deviations are normal for mechanical watches. If the deviation is significant (e.g., more than +/- 30 seconds per day), the watch may need regulation by a professional watchmaker.
- Condensation under the crystal: If condensation appears and persists, it may indicate a breach in water resistance. Have the watch inspected by a professional immediately to prevent damage to the movement.
