2. Safety Information

• Keep the remote control out of reach of children.
• Do not expose the remote control to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, or high humidity.
• Avoid dropping or subjecting the remote control to strong impacts.
• If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
• Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations. Do not incinerate batteries.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries for operation. Follow these steps to install them:

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
2. Gently slide the cover downwards or press the latch and lift to open the compartment.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment. Incorrect polarity can damage the remote.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

5. Operating Instructions

Point the remote control directly at the infrared receiver on your ComfortStar air conditioner unit. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the unit.

5.1 Button Functions

• ON/OFF: Powers the air conditioner unit on or off.
• TEMP (+/-): Adjusts the desired temperature setting.
• MODE: Cycles through operating modes (e.g., Cool, Heat, Fan, Dry, Auto).
• FAN SPEED: Adjusts the fan speed (e.g., Low, Medium, High, Auto).
• SWING (Up/Down Arrows): Controls the vertical louver swing direction.
• TIMER ON/OFF: Sets the timer for automatic power on or off.
• SLEEP/FRESH: Activates Sleep mode for quiet operation and energy saving, or Fresh air function.
• TURBO/CLEAN: Activates Turbo mode for rapid cooling/heating, or initiates a self-clean function.
• LOCK/RESET: Locks the remote control buttons to prevent accidental changes, or resets settings.
• SILENCE/TP: Activates silent operation mode or sets a temperature preference.
• INTELLIGENT EYE: Activates a sensor that detects human presence to optimize airflow and energy.
• LED FOLLOW ME: Activates a function where the unit adjusts temperature based on the remote's location.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Remote Control

Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive cleaners, or chemical solvents, as these may damage the surface or internal components.

6.2 Battery Care

• Replace batteries when the remote control's range decreases or it becomes unresponsive.
• Always replace both batteries at the same time with new ones of the same type.
• If the remote control will not be used for an extended period (e.g., one month or more), remove the batteries to prevent potential leakage and damage.
