Introduction

This document provides essential instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your Easytry replacement remote control. This remote is designed to be compatible with specific ComfortStar portable air conditioner models as listed. It is an infrared (IR) replacement remote and does not require programming.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install them:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide the battery cover downwards to open it.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals match the diagrams inside the compartment.
4. Slide the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.

2. Initial Use

This Easytry remote control is a direct replacement and does not require any programming or setup. Once batteries are installed, it is ready for use with compatible ComfortStar air conditioner models. Simply point the remote at the air conditioner's receiver and press the desired function button.

Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the buttons on your remote control. The following describes the primary functions:

• ON/OFF: Powers the air conditioner on or off.
• TEMP +/-: Adjusts the desired temperature setting.
• MODE: Cycles through operating modes (e.g., Cool, Fan, Dry, Heat - depending on AC model).
• FAN SPEED: Adjusts the fan speed (e.g., Low, Medium, High, Auto).
• SWING: Activates or deactivates the louver swing function. There may be two swing buttons for horizontal and vertical swing.
• SLEEP: Activates the sleep mode for comfortable overnight operation.
• FRESH: Activates the fresh air or air purification function.
• SILENCE: Engages a quiet operating mode.
• FP (Freeze Protection): Activates the freeze protection function, maintaining a low temperature to prevent freezing.
• TIMER ON/OFF: Sets a timer for the air conditioner to turn on or off automatically.
• INTELLIGENT EYE: Activates the intelligent eye sensor, which detects human presence to optimize operation.
• LED: Controls the display light on the air conditioner unit.
• FOLLOW ME: Activates the 'Follow Me' function, where the remote's sensor measures the temperature at its location and adjusts the AC accordingly.
• TURBO: Activates maximum cooling/heating for rapid temperature change.
• SELF CLEAN: Initiates a self-cleaning cycle for the indoor unit.
• LOCK: Locks the remote control buttons to prevent accidental changes.
• RESET: Resets the remote control settings. Use a pointed object to press this button if available.

Note: Not all functions may be available on every compatible air conditioner model. Refer to your air conditioner's original manual for specific feature availability.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote control's range decreases or if the display becomes dim. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

Cleaning

Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, sprays, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

Storage

If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage to the device.

Troubleshooting

• Remote not responding:
  • Check if the batteries are correctly installed with the correct polarity.
  • Replace old batteries with new AAA batteries.
  • Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote control and the air conditioner's receiver. Obstructions can block the infrared signal.
  • Ensure you are within the effective operating range of the air conditioner.
• Specific buttons not working:
  • Some functions may not be supported by your specific ComfortStar air conditioner model. Refer to your AC unit's original manual.
  • If the remote has a 'LOCK' function, ensure it is not activated.
• Air conditioner not responding to any commands:
  • Verify that the air conditioner unit is powered on and receiving electricity.
  • If the issue persists after checking batteries and line of sight, the remote control may be faulty.

This remote is not universal. It is specifically designed for the listed ComfortStar models. If your model is not listed, this remote may not be compatible.
