1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the LONPOO LP-886 CD Stereo System. This micro system is designed to provide high-quality audio playback from various sources, including CDs, FM radio, Bluetooth-connected devices, USB drives, and AUX input. Please read this manual carefully to ensure proper use and to maximize your enjoyment of the product.

3. Product Overview

3.1 Main Unit Controls and Ports

  1. CD Door: Gently press to open/close for CD insertion.
  2. IR Sensor: Receives signals from the remote control.
  3. LED Display: Shows track number, time, mode, and other information.
  4. MODE Button: Switches between CD, FM, Bluetooth, USB, and AUX modes.
  5. EQ Button: Selects equalizer presets (Pop, Jazz, Rock, Classic, Flat).
  6. VOLUME +/- Knob: Adjusts the volume level.
  7. PREV/REW Button: Skips to the previous track or rewinds.
  8. NEXT/FF Button: Skips to the next track or fast forwards.
  9. PLAY/PAUSE/SCAN Button: Plays/pauses playback; in FM mode, scans for stations.
  10. STOP/STANDBY Button: Stops playback; long press to enter/exit standby mode.
  11. AUX-IN Port: 3.5mm jack for connecting external audio devices.
  12. USB Port: For playing MP3/WMA files from a USB flash drive (max 64GB, FAT16/32).
  13. Headphone Jack: 3.5mm jack for private listening.
  14. FM Antenna Terminal: Connects to the included FM antenna.

3.2 Speaker Components

4. Setup

4.1 Connecting the Speakers

The system consists of one main unit and two speakers. Connect the speakers to the main unit using the provided speaker wires. Ensure correct polarity: connect the red wire from the speaker to the red terminal on the main unit, and the black wire from the speaker to the black terminal on the main unit.

4.2 Connecting the FM Antenna

Connect the FM antenna to the FM Antenna Terminal on the rear of the main unit for optimal radio reception.

4.3 Power Connection

Connect the AC adapter to the AC IN port on the rear of the main unit, then plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet (AC 100-240V, 50/60Hz).

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off and Standby

  • Press the STOP/STANDBY button on the main unit or remote control to turn the system on or off (standby mode).

5.2 Selecting a Mode

  • Press the MODE button on the main unit or remote control to cycle through available input sources: CD, FM, Bluetooth, USB, and AUX.

5.3 CD Playback

  1. Gently press the CD door to open it.
  2. Place a CD (CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3, WMA format) onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
  3. Close the CD door. The system will automatically detect the CD and begin playback.
  4. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, PREV/REW, and NEXT/FF buttons to control playback.
  5. The LED display will show the current track number and playback time.

5.4 FM Radio

  1. Select FM mode using the MODE button.
  2. Press the SCAN button (often combined with PLAY/PAUSE) to automatically scan and store FM stations (76.0 MHz - 95.0 MHz). Up to 20 stations can be memorized.
  3. Use the PREV/REW and NEXT/FF buttons to navigate through the stored stations.

5.5 Bluetooth Connection

  1. Select Bluetooth mode using the MODE button. The LED display will show "BT" or a similar indicator, and the unit will enter pairing mode.
  2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, computer), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "LONPOO" or a similar name from the list to pair.
  4. Once connected, you can play audio from your device through the stereo system. (Note: Bluetooth earphones are not supported).

5.6 USB Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive (max 64GB, FAT16/32 file system, containing MP3/WMA files) into the USB port.
  2. Select USB mode using the MODE button. The system will automatically detect and begin playing audio files.
  3. Use the playback control buttons (PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, PREV/REW, NEXT/FF) to manage your music.

5.7 AUX Input

  1. Connect your external audio device (e.g., phone, computer) to the AUX-IN port on the front panel using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
  2. Select AUX mode using the MODE button.
  3. Play audio from your connected device. The volume can be controlled via both the stereo system and your external device.

5.8 Headphone Use

  • Plug 3.5mm headphones into the Headphone Jack on the front panel for private listening. The main speakers will be muted automatically.

5.9 Sound Settings

  • Volume Adjustment: Rotate the VOLUME knob or use the volume buttons on the remote control to adjust the sound level.
  • Equalizer Presets: Press the EQ button on the remote control to cycle through sound modes: Pop, Jazz, Rock, Classic, and Flat.

5.10 Playback Functions (CD/USB)

  • Repeat: Press the repeat button on the remote to repeat one track, repeat all tracks, or play randomly.
  • Resume Playback: The system can resume disc playback from where it was last stopped.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • CD Care: Handle CDs by their edges. Keep them clean and free of scratches.
  • Placement: Place the unit on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or moisture. Ensure adequate ventilation.
  • Power: Disconnect the power adapter from the wall outlet if the unit will not be used for an extended period.
