3.1 Package Contents

3.2 Installation Steps

This range hood is designed for wall-mount installation and can be configured for ducted or ductless (recirculating) ventilation. Refer to the detailed installation instructions provided in the separate 'Installation Instruction' manual for specific steps.

  • Mounting: Securely mount the range hood to the wall using the provided mounting kit.
  • Ducting: For ducted installation, connect the exhaust pipe to an external vent. For ductless installation, ensure charcoal filters are installed.
  • Electrical Connection: Connect the power cord to a suitable electrical outlet.
  • Chimney Installation: The adjustable chimney can fit ceilings from 7.5 to 8.5 feet. An optional extension chimney (FGS-TG26S-ZST, sold separately) is available for 9-10 ft ceilings.

4. Operating Instructions

The range hood features soft-touch digital controls for easy operation.

  • Power On/Off: Press the power button to turn the unit on or off.
  • Fan Speed: Select from 3 fan speeds (Low, Medium, High) using the speed control buttons to match your cooking needs. The 600 CFM suction effectively removes smoke and odors.
  • LED Lights: Activate the 2 x 1.5W LED lights for illumination of your cooking area.
  • Time Delay Function: Utilize the 60-minute time delay function to allow the fan to continue operating for a set period after cooking.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your range hood.

5.1 Cleaning Filters

  • Baffle Filters: The permanent stainless steel baffle filters are designed to trap grease effectively. They are dishwasher-safe and easily removable for cleaning. Clean regularly (e.g., monthly) depending on usage.
  • Charcoal Filters (for Ductless): If using the range hood in ductless mode, the included charcoal filters (model: CC170) should be replaced periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months) to maintain air purification effectiveness.

5.2 Exterior Cleaning

Wipe the stainless steel and curved glass surfaces with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the finish.

  • No Power: Check the power cord connection and ensure the circuit breaker is not tripped.
  • Weak Suction: Verify that filters are clean and properly installed. Ensure the exhaust duct is not obstructed.
