Follow these steps to set up your pressure washer for first use:

  1. Assemble the Spray Wand: Connect the two sections of the spray wand if necessary, then attach it to the trigger gun. Ensure a secure connection.
  2. Connect High-Pressure Hose: Attach one end of the 26ft high-pressure hose to the water outlet on the pressure washer unit and the other end to the trigger gun. Hand-tighten securely.
  3. Connect Water Supply: Connect a standard garden hose (not included) to the water inlet on the pressure washer. Ensure the garden hose is free of kinks and has a steady water supply.
  4. Choose a Nozzle: Select the appropriate nozzle for your cleaning task and attach it to the end of the spray wand. Push firmly until it clicks into place. (Refer to Section 6.2 for nozzle selection).
  5. Fill Detergent Tank (Optional): If using detergent, fill the built-in detergent tank with a pressure washer safe cleaning solution.
  6. Plug In: Plug the GFCI power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Press the reset button on the GFCI plug if necessary.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Starting the Pressure Washer

  1. Ensure all connections are secure and the water supply is turned on.
  2. Squeeze the trigger gun to purge air from the system until a steady stream of water emerges. This primes the pump.
  3. Turn the On/Off switch to the 'ON' position. The motor will start.
  4. Release the trigger gun. The Total Stop System (TSS) will automatically shut off the pump when the trigger is not engaged, saving energy and prolonging pump life.

6.2. Nozzle Selection and Usage

Your SUNPOW Pressure Washer comes with 8 interchangeable nozzles, each designed for specific cleaning applications. Always test the spray pattern on an inconspicuous area first.

6.3. Using the Detergent Tank

The built-in detergent tank allows for easy application of cleaning solutions:

  1. Ensure the pressure washer is off and unplugged.
  2. Fill the detergent tank with a pressure washer safe, non-corrosive cleaning solution. Do not use bleach or abrasive cleaners.
  3. Attach the Black Soap Nozzle to the spray wand.
  4. Start the pressure washer as described in Section 6.1.
  5. The detergent will be automatically mixed with the water at a low pressure.
  6. After applying detergent, switch to a high-pressure nozzle (e.g., 25° or 15°) to rinse the surface thoroughly.
