Understanding the Network Application

Figure 3: Application diagram of the Digicom 4G LiteRoute. This diagram shows how the router connects to the 4G network via a SIM card, providing 150 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload speeds. It then distributes Wi-Fi at 300 Mbps to devices like laptops, tablets, and smartphones, and provides wired Ethernet connectivity to computers.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the router. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
- Placement: Place the router in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Avoid placing it near large metal objects or other electronic devices that may cause interference.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the manufacturer's website for firmware updates. Updating the firmware can improve performance, add new features, and enhance security. Refer to the web management interface for instructions on how to perform a firmware update.
- Resetting the Router: If the router is not functioning correctly, you can perform a factory reset by pressing and holding the WPS/RESET button for approximately 10 seconds while the router is powered on. This will restore all settings to their factory defaults.
Troubleshooting
- No Internet Connection:
- Check if the SIM card is correctly inserted and activated.
- Verify that the Internet LED is illuminated. If not, check the 4G signal strength LEDs.
- Ensure your mobile operator's APN settings are correctly configured in the router's web interface.
- Restart the router by powering it off and on.
- Slow Internet Speed:
- Check the 4G signal strength LEDs. A weak signal can lead to slow speeds. Try repositioning the router or adjusting the antennas.
- Ensure no other devices are consuming excessive bandwidth.
- Verify that your mobile data plan has sufficient allowance and speed.
- Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi:
- Ensure the Wi-Fi LED is on.
- Double-check the Wi-Fi password.
- Try restarting both the router and your client device.
- If using WPS, ensure both devices are in WPS mode within the time limit.
- Web Management Interface is Slow/Unresponsive:
- Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
- Try a different web browser.
- Ensure your computer is directly connected to the router via Ethernet.
- Restart the router.
