2. What's in the Box

3. Getting Started (Setup)
3.1 Charging Your Tablet
Before initial use, fully charge your Fire HD 10 tablet. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the tablet's USB-C port and the 9W power adapter to a wall outlet. A full charge from 0% to 100% typically takes approximately 4 hours while the device is in standby mode.
3.2 Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the power button located on the side of the tablet until the Amazon logo appears.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the power button until a power-off prompt appears on the screen. Tap 'Power Off'.
3.3 Wi-Fi Connectivity
To connect to the internet:
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Select your desired network from the list.
- Enter the password if prompted and tap Connect.
The Fire HD 10 supports both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz networks. Ad-hoc (peer-to-peer) Wi-Fi networks are not supported.
3.4 Amazon Account Registration
Upon first power-on, you will be guided through the setup process, including registering your device to an Amazon account. An Amazon account is required to access Amazon services, download apps, and purchase content.
4. Using Your Fire HD 10 (Operating)
4.1 Display and Performance
The Fire HD 10 features a brilliant 10.1-inch 1080p Full HD display (1920 x 1200 resolution) with over 2 million pixels, providing bright and vivid image quality. The screen is strengthened with aluminosilicate glass for enhanced durability.
Powered by an octa-core 2.0 GHz processor and 3 GB of RAM, the tablet is designed for responsive performance.

Split Screen Functionality
The split-screen feature allows you to run two compatible applications side-by-side for enhanced multitasking. For example, you can watch a video while browsing the web or taking notes.

4.2 Battery Life
The tablet offers up to 12 hours of battery life for activities such as reading, web browsing, video playback, and music listening. Actual battery life may vary based on device settings, usage patterns, and other factors.
4.3 Storage
Your Fire HD 10 comes with either 32 GB (24.2 GB available to user) or 64 GB (55.0 GB available to user) of internal storage. You can expand storage by up to 1 TB using a microSD card (sold separately). Note that some applications may require installation on internal storage.
4.4 Using Alexa
The Fire HD 10 supports hands-free Alexa. You can use voice commands to control your tablet, play media, get information, and manage smart home devices. Alexa and Fire HD 10 are designed with privacy features, allowing you to view and delete voice recordings or use the Alexa Hands-Free Mode on/off toggle.

4.5 Applications
Access your favorite apps like Netflix, Facebook, Hulu, Instagram, TikTok, Microsoft Office, OneNote, and Dropbox through Amazon's Appstore. Please note that Google Play is not supported. Subscriptions may be required for some applications.
4.6 Connectivity
- Wi-Fi: Supports 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz networks.
- Bluetooth: Built-in Bluetooth 5.0 LE with support for A2DP compatible stereo headphones, speakers, microphones, and LE accessories.
4.7 Camera
The tablet includes a 2 MP front-facing camera and a 5 MP rear-facing camera, both capable of 720p HD video recording.
4.8 Audio
Features a 3.5 mm stereo jack and dual integrated speakers. External volume controls are provided.
4.9 Ports

- Kindle Read Aloud: Alexa can read your Kindle books aloud.

6. Maintenance
