Setup
Charging the Scrubber
- Locate the Micro USB charging port on the scrubber, typically covered by a protective flap.
- Open the protective flap and insert the Micro USB charging cable into the port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port).
- The charging LED indicator will illuminate to show the charging status. Refer to the LED indicator guide for specific light patterns (e.g., solid red for charging, solid green for fully charged).
- Once fully charged, disconnect the cable and securely close the protective flap over the charging port to maintain water resistance.
Attaching/Detaching Brushes
- Ensure the scrubber is turned off before attaching or detaching any brush accessories.
- Align the hex shank of the brush with the hex connection on the scrubber head.
- Push the brush firmly into the connection until it clicks into place.
- To detach a brush, firmly pull the brush straight out from the scrubber head.
- Only use RYOBI hex shank compatible brush accessories.
Operating Instructions
Basic Operation
- Ensure a brush is securely attached and the battery is charged.
- Press the power button to turn on the scrubber.
- For continuous operation, engage the lock-on button to reduce user fatigue. Press the power button again to disengage the lock and turn off the scrubber.
- Apply appropriate cleaning solution to the surface or brush as needed.
- Gently guide the rotating brush over the surface to be cleaned. Avoid excessive pressure, as this can reduce brush effectiveness and motor life.
- After use, turn off the scrubber and rinse the brush thoroughly.
Water Resistance
The RYOBI 4-Volt Cordless Compact Scrubber has an IPX7 water resistance rating. This means it can be submerged in up to 3 feet (1 meter) of water for up to 30 minutes. This feature allows for cleaning in wet environments like sinks, showers, and tubs. Always ensure the Micro USB charging port cover is fully sealed before exposing the scrubber to water.

Maintenance
