Setup
Before First Use
- Unpack all components and remove any packaging materials.
- Wash the inner cooking pot, glass lid, steaming basket, rice paddle, and measuring cup in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Wipe the exterior of the rice cooker base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base unit in water.
Assembly
- Place the rice cooker base on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
- Ensure the inner cooking pot is clean and dry, then place it inside the rice cooker base.
- Place the glass lid securely on top of the inner cooking pot.
Operating Instructions
Cooking Rice
- Measure the desired amount of rice using the provided measuring cup. Rinse rice thoroughly if desired.
- Add the rinsed rice to the inner cooking pot.
- Add the appropriate amount of water. A common ratio is 1 cup of rice to 1.5-2 cups of water, but refer to specific rice packaging for best results. The inner pot has water level markings for guidance.
- Place the inner pot into the rice cooker base and cover with the glass lid.
- Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
- Press the 'COOK' lever down. The 'COOK' indicator light will illuminate.
- Once cooking is complete, the rice cooker will automatically switch to the 'WARM' setting, and the 'WARM' indicator light will illuminate.
- Allow rice to rest on 'WARM' for 5-10 minutes before serving for optimal texture.
- Unplug the appliance after serving.
Steaming Food
