Model: PCP-30MPa

1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your CREWORKS PCP Compressor. This high-performance compressor is designed to pressurize air up to 4350 PSI (300 bar) at a flow rate of 50 L/min, suitable for various pneumatic equipment applications. It features robust construction, an 1800W copper motor, and integrated air and water cooling systems for extended use and motor protection.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: Always read and understand all safety instructions before operating this compressor. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or property damage.

  • Ensure the compressor is placed on a stable, level surface during operation.
  • Always connect the water cooling system and ensure proper water flow before starting the compressor to prevent overheating.
  • Never exceed the maximum rated pressure of 4350 PSI (300 bar) for the compressor or the item being filled.
  • Monitor the pressure gauge and temperature display constantly during operation. Stop the compressor immediately if the temperature exceeds 75°C (167°F) or if any unusual sounds or smells occur.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection, during operation.
  • Keep children and unauthorized personnel away from the operating compressor.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation in the operating area.
  • Always bleed the pressure from the system before disconnecting any hoses or fittings.
  • Use only ISO VG46 (AW46) standard oil for lubrication. The compressor is shipped without oil.

4. Setup

Before first use, ensure all components are present and undamaged. The compressor is shipped without oil; you must add ISO VG46 (AW46) standard oil before operation.

  1. Add Oil: Unscrew the oil cap and carefully pour ISO VG46 (AW46) compressor oil into the oil reservoir until it reaches the appropriate level on the oil sight glass. Do not overfill.
  2. Connect Water Cooling System:
    • Connect the water pump to the water inlet and outlet ports of the compressor using the provided water tubes.
    • Place the water pump into a container filled with clean water. Ensure the water pump is fully submerged.
  3. Connect High-Pressure Hose: Attach the high-pressure flexible hose to the compressor's air outlet and to the cylinder or device you intend to fill. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
  4. Power Connection:
    • For home use, plug the power cable into a suitable 220V AC power socket.
    • For outdoor use, connect the DC12V car battery clamps to a car battery (positive to positive, negative to negative).
  5. Bleed Valve: Ensure the bleed valve is closed before starting the compressor.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Initial Check: Before starting, double-check all connections, ensure the water pump is operating, and the bleed valve is closed. Verify the oil level.
  2. Start Compressor: Turn on the main power switch, then press the "START" button. The compressor will begin to operate.
  3. Monitor Pressure and Temperature: Continuously monitor the pressure gauge and the temperature display. The maximum operating temperature is 75°C (167°F). If the temperature approaches this limit, turn off the compressor and allow it to cool down.
  4. Reach Desired Pressure: Once the desired pressure is reached on the connected cylinder/device, immediately press the "OFF" button to stop the compressor.
  5. Bleed Pressure: Slowly open the bleed valve to release the pressure from the high-pressure hose. Once the pressure is fully released, disconnect the hose from the cylinder/device.
  6. Power Off: Turn off the main power switch and disconnect the power source.

Note: For models without a preset pressure function, manual monitoring and shutdown are required.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your compressor.

  • Oil Level Check: Check the oil level before each use. Refill immediately if the level is low.
  • Oil Change: Change the compressor oil after every 20-30 hours of operation or at least once a year, whichever comes first. Drain old oil completely before refilling with fresh ISO VG46 (AW46) standard oil.
  • Water Cooling System: Regularly check the water level in the cooling reservoir and replace the water if it becomes dirty. Ensure the water pump is clean and free of debris.
  • Air Filter: Inspect and clean or replace the air filter regularly to ensure clean air intake and prevent damage to internal components.
  • Connections: Periodically inspect all hoses and connections for wear, damage, or leaks. Replace any damaged parts immediately.
  • Storage: Store the compressor in a clean, dry environment when not in use.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Compressor does not start. No power, loose connection, power switch off.Check power supply, ensure connections are secure, turn on power switch.
Compressor overheats quickly.Insufficient water cooling, clogged air filter, low oil level.Check water pump operation and water level, clean/replace air filter, check/refill oil.
Pressure not building up.Bleed valve open, loose connections, internal leak.Ensure bleed valve is closed, tighten all connections, inspect for leaks.
Unusual noise during operation.Low oil, loose parts, internal component issue.Check oil level, inspect for loose parts, contact customer support if noise persists.
