5. Operating

  1. Ensure the blending arm is securely attached and the pan guard is in place if blending in cookware.
  2. Immerse the blending arm into the ingredients. Ensure the blades are fully submerged to prevent splashing.
  3. Press and hold the safety switch located on the top of the motor body.
  4. While holding the safety switch, press the variable speed trigger switch to activate the blender.
  5. Adjust the blending speed by varying the pressure on the trigger switch. More pressure increases speed.

  7. Release the trigger switch to stop the blender.

5.2 Battery Life and Performance

A full charge allows the hand blender to blend approximately 25 bowls of soup (based on 12 ounce bowls, 7 batches of Tomato Basil Soup). The battery indicator light will signal when it is time to recharge the battery.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your KitchenAid Hand Blender.

6.1 Cleaning

  1. Always unplug the charger and detach the blending arm from the motor body before cleaning.
  2. The blending arm, blending jar with lid, and pan guard are dishwasher-safe. Place them on the top rack of your dishwasher.
  3. Alternatively, wash these parts in hot, soapy water, then rinse thoroughly and dry.
  4. To clean the blades, immerse the blending arm in a container of warm, soapy water and briefly run the blender.
  5. Wipe the motor body with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor body in water or other liquids.

6.2 Storage

Store the hand blender and its accessories in a clean, dry place when not in use. Ensure the blending arm is detached from the motor body for compact storage.

7. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your KitchenAid Cordless Variable Speed Hand Blender, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • Blender does not turn on: Ensure the battery is charged. Check that the blending arm is securely attached to the motor body. Confirm both the safety switch and the variable speed trigger switch are pressed simultaneously.
  • Blender stops during operation: The battery may be depleted. Recharge the battery. Overloading the blender with very thick ingredients can also cause it to stop; reduce the quantity or add more liquid.
  • Ingredients are not blending smoothly: Ensure the blades are fully submerged. Move the blending arm up and down through the ingredients. Blend for a longer duration.
  • Battery indicator light not working: Ensure the charger is properly connected to both the blender and the power outlet. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
