1. Introduction

The Xiaomi Mijia AR Photo Printer is a compact and portable instant photo printer designed for convenience and high-quality prints. Utilizing thermal (ZINK) printing technology, it produces 313 x 400dpi resolution photos without the need for ink cartridges. This device supports wireless connectivity via Bluetooth 5.0 BLE, allowing multiple users to connect and print in sequence. 2. Setup

2.1 Unboxing and Initial Charge

Upon unboxing, ensure all components are present. The printer comes with a built-in 500mAh lithium-ion polymer battery. Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided USB cable. The power indicator light will show charging status.

2.2 App Download and Bluetooth Pairing

1. Download the official Mijia APP from your device's app store (compatible with Android 4.1+ or iOS 9.0+).
2. Turn on the printer by pressing and holding the power button until the indicator light illuminates.
3. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet.
4. Open the Mijia APP and follow the on-screen instructions to pair your device with the printer. The printer will appear as a discoverable Bluetooth device.

2.3 Loading Photo Paper

The printer uses 2 x 3 inch (50mm x 76mm) instant photo paper. It has a tray capacity of up to 10 sheets. The slide cover design allows for easy paper loading.

1. Gently slide open the paper tray cover.
2. Insert up to 10 sheets of photo paper into the tray with the glossy side facing up.
3. Close the paper tray cover securely.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Selecting and Editing Photos

Once connected to the Mijia APP, you can browse your device's photo gallery. The app allows for basic editing functions before printing:

• Select a photo from your gallery (JPEG, PNG formats supported).
• Utilize in-app editing tools to adjust brightness, contrast, or apply filters.
• Choose to print in color or monochrome (black and white).
• Add borders or decorative elements available within the app.

3.2 Printing Process

After selecting and editing your photo, initiate the printing process from the Mijia APP. The printer will automatically feed the paper and apply colors in multiple passes (yellow, magenta, cyan) before applying a protective laminate layer. The printing speed is approximately 45 seconds per page.

Important: Do not touch the photo paper while it is printing, as it moves in and out of the printer multiple times during the color application and laminating stages. Interfering with the paper can cause jams or damage the print.

4. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the printer. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
• Storage: Store the printer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Photo Paper Storage: Keep unused photo paper in its original packaging to protect it from light and moisture, which can affect print quality.
• Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.

5. Troubleshooting

• Printer Not Connecting:
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device and the printer is turned on.
  • Check if the printer battery is charged.
  • Restart both the printer and your mobile device.
  • Verify that the Mijia APP is up to date.
• Poor Print Quality:
  • Ensure you are using genuine Mi Pocket Print Instant Photo Paper.
  • Check if the photo paper is loaded correctly with the glossy side up.
  • Avoid touching the photo paper during the printing process.
  • Adjust photo settings (brightness, contrast) in the Mijia APP before printing.
• Paper Jam:
  • Turn off the printer.
  • Gently open the paper tray and carefully remove any jammed paper.
  • Ensure no more than 10 sheets of paper are loaded at a time.
