This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Yanmis Solar Light String Controller Module, model SS1208. This module is designed to manage power for solar-powered LED string lights, solar copper wire string lights, and solar studs, offering multiple lighting modes for various applications.

Setup and Connections

• Solar Panel Connection: Connect the positive (+) terminal of your 2V solar panel to the S+ terminal on the module and the negative (-) terminal to the S- terminal.
• Battery Connection: Connect the positive (+) terminal of your 1.2V NiMH battery to the B+ terminal on the module and the negative (-) terminal to the B- terminal. Note there are two B+ terminals for flexibility.
• LED Light Connection: Connect the positive (+) wire of your LED string lights to the OUT1 (LED+) terminal and the negative (-) wire to the OUT2 (LED-) terminal.

Ensure all connections are secure before operating the device. The module is designed to automatically charge the battery during daylight hours and power the lights at night.

Operating Instructions

The module features a main power switch and a lighting mode switch to control the functionality of your solar lights.

• Main Power Switch: This switch (labeled 'Main power switch' in Figure 1, the larger white switch) controls the overall power to the module. Toggle it to the 'ON' position to activate the controller.
• Lighting Mode Switch: This button (labeled 'Lighting mode switch' in Figure 1, the smaller black button) allows you to cycle through the available lighting patterns. Press the button repeatedly to select your desired mode.

Available Lighting Modes:

1. Mode 1: 2-8 Function Cycle (Automatically cycles through modes 2 to 8).
2. Mode 2: Star Flash.
3. Mode 3: Double Flash.
4. Mode 4: One Way Fade In and Out.
5. Mode 5: 4 Single Flashes, then 4 Double Flashes.
6. Mode 6: All Fade In and Out.
7. Mode 7: 4 Single Flashes.
8. Mode 8: All On (Steady illumination).

• Lights Not Turning On:
  • Ensure the main power switch on the module is in the 'ON' position.
  • Verify that the solar panel is receiving adequate sunlight and is clean.
  • Check battery charge. The battery may not have charged sufficiently during the day.
  • Inspect all connections (solar panel, battery, LED lights) for proper polarity and secure contact.
  • Test the LED string lights directly with a compatible power source to ensure they are functional.
• Lights Not Changing Modes:
  • Press the lighting mode switch firmly and repeatedly to cycle through modes.
  • Ensure the module has sufficient power from the battery.
• Lights Dim or Flicker:
  • The battery may be low on charge. Allow more time for solar charging.
