Setup and First Use
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the coffee machine and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean all removable parts (thermal jug, filter basket, permanent filter) with warm soapy water. Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth.
- Positioning: Place the coffee machine on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and direct heat. Ensure adequate ventilation.
- Rinsing Cycle: Fill the water tank with fresh cold water up to the MAX mark. Do not add coffee beans or ground coffee. Place the empty thermal jug with its lid closed under the filter outlet. Run a full brewing cycle to rinse the internal components. Discard the water. Repeat this process 1-2 times.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet (230V).
Operating Instructions
Brewing Coffee from Whole Beans:
- Fill Water Tank: Open the water tank lid and fill with fresh, cold water up to the desired number of cups indicated on the water level indicator. Do not exceed the MAX line.
- Add Coffee Beans: Open the lid of the bean container and add whole coffee beans. The container holds up to 180g of beans. Close the lid securely to maintain freshness.
- Set Grind Level: Use the grind setting dial (usually located near the bean container) to select your desired grind fineness. The machine offers 3 grind settings. A finer grind is suitable for stronger coffee, a coarser grind for milder coffee.
- Place Thermal Jug: Ensure the thermal jug is correctly positioned under the filter outlet with its lid closed.
- Start Brewing: Press the ON/OFF button. The machine will automatically grind the beans and begin the brewing process. The display will show the brewing progress.
- Automatic Shut-off: Once brewing is complete, the machine will automatically switch off. The thermal jug will keep your coffee hot for an extended period.
Brewing Coffee from Ground Coffee:
- Fill Water Tank: As above, fill the water tank with fresh, cold water.
- Add Ground Coffee: Open the filter basket and add the desired amount of pre-ground coffee into the permanent filter. Use approximately one level tablespoon of ground coffee per cup, adjusting to taste. Close the filter basket.
- Place Thermal Jug: Ensure the thermal jug is correctly positioned under the filter outlet with its lid closed.
- Select Ground Coffee Mode: The machine typically has a button or setting to bypass the grinder when using pre-ground coffee. Refer to the control panel for the specific button (e.g., a "Ground Coffee" icon or a "Grind Off" setting).
- Start Brewing: Press the ON/OFF button. The machine will begin brewing using the pre-ground coffee.
- Automatic Shut-off: The machine will switch off automatically after brewing.
Using the 24-Hour Timer:
- Set Current Time: Before setting the timer, ensure the current time is correctly set on the machine's display. Refer to the control panel buttons (e.g., "H" for hour, "M" for minute) to adjust the time.
- Prepare Machine: Fill the water tank and bean container (or add ground coffee to the filter) as described above. Place the thermal jug.
- Set Program Time: Press the TIMER button. The display will flash. Use the "H" and "M" buttons to set the desired time for brewing to start.
- Activate Timer: Press the TIMER button again to confirm the setting. A timer icon will usually appear on the display, indicating that the timer function is active.
- The machine will automatically start brewing at the programmed time.
Brewing Small Quantities (2-4 Cups):
The BEEM Fresh-Aroma Perfect II features an automatic brewing time extension for small quantities (2-4 cups) to ensure maximum aroma extraction. Simply fill water and coffee for the desired number of cups, and the machine will adjust the brewing process accordingly.
Care and Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your coffee machine and ensure consistent coffee quality.
Daily Cleaning:
- Unplug: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning and allow it to cool down.
- Thermal Jug: Wash the thermal jug and its lid with warm soapy water after each use. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool.
- Filter Basket & Permanent Filter: Remove the filter basket and permanent filter. Discard used coffee grounds. Wash both parts with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the coffee machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents. Never immerse the main unit in water.
Grinder Cleaning:
Periodically clean the grinder to prevent clogging and ensure optimal performance. Refer to the manual for specific instructions on how to access and clean the conical burrs. Typically, this involves removing the bean container and brushing away coffee residue.
Descaling:
Mineral deposits from water can build up in your coffee machine over time, affecting performance and taste. Descale your machine regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use (e.g., every 2-3 months). The machine has a CALC button, which likely indicates a descaling reminder or function.
- Prepare a descaling solution according to the descaler manufacturer's instructions (e.g., white vinegar and water, or a commercial descaling agent).
- Pour the solution into the water tank.
- Place the empty thermal jug under the filter outlet.
- Run a brewing cycle with the descaling solution. If your machine has a dedicated descaling program (e.g., activated by the CALC button), follow those instructions.
- After the cycle, discard the solution.
- Rinse the machine by running 2-3 full cycles with fresh, clean water to remove any descaler residue.
Troubleshooting

| Coffee overflows from filter. | Too much coffee grounds; filter clogged; jug not properly placed. | Reduce coffee amount; clean filter and filter basket; ensure jug is correctly seated. |
| Grinder not working. | Bean container empty; beans jammed; grinder clogged. | Fill bean container; gently shake machine to dislodge beans; clean grinder burrs. |
| Unusual noise during operation. | Air trapped in pump; machine needs descaling. | Run a cycle with water to clear air; descale the machine. |
