4.3 External Connections

Connect your audio source and other equipment to the amplifier's input and output ports.

  • Inputs: Use the 2 XLR-1/4” combo jacks or 2 RCA inputs to connect your audio source (e.g., mixer, audio interface).
  • Outputs: Use the 2 XLR (through) outputs to pass the audio signal to other amplifiers or active speakers.
  • Power: Connect the power cable to a suitable electrical outlet (110V-220V switchable). Ensure the voltage switch is set correctly for your region before powering on.

5. Operating Instructions

Once installed and connected, operate the amplifier using the controls on the plate.

5.1 Power On/Off

Locate the power switch on the amplifier plate. Flip the switch to the "ON" position to power on the unit. The front LED will illuminate when the amplifier is active.

5.2 Volume Control

Adjust the master volume knob to control the overall output level of the subwoofer. Start with a low volume setting and gradually increase it to a comfortable listening level.

5.3 Low Pass Filter (LPF) Adjustment

The LPF knob allows you to set the upper frequency limit for the subwoofer, typically ranging from 40Hz to 150Hz. Adjust this control to blend the subwoofer's output seamlessly with your main speakers. A lower LPF setting means the subwoofer will only reproduce very low frequencies, while a higher setting allows it to play into the mid-bass range.

5.4 Polarity Switch

The polarity switch (0°/180°) helps to optimize the phase alignment between the subwoofer and your main speakers. Experiment with both settings to find the one that produces the most impactful and coherent bass response in your listening environment. This is often determined by the physical placement of the subwoofer relative to the main speakers.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your amplifier.

  • Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
  • Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation openings are not obstructed to prevent overheating.
  • Storage: If storing the amplifier for an extended period, ensure it is in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
