  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the power strip in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your TROND Prime V Surge Protector, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power to Devices:
    • Ensure the power strip's ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position and the 'Power' indicator light is illuminated.
    • Check if the wall outlet is functioning by plugging in another device directly.
    • Verify that the power strip's plug is fully inserted into the wall outlet.
  • Devices Not Charging via USB:
    • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the power strip and your device.
    • Try a different USB port or cable to rule out a faulty connection.
    • Confirm your device is compatible with USB charging.
  • 'Protected' Indicator Light Off:
    • If the 'Protected' (green) light is off, it indicates that the surge protection components may have been compromised due to a significant power surge. The power strip may still function as a multi-outlet extension cord, but surge protection is no longer active. It is recommended to replace the unit to ensure continued protection.
  • Overload Protection Triggered:
    • If the power strip stops providing power, it might be due to an overload. Disconnect some devices to reduce the load.
    • Locate the circuit breaker reset button (usually on the side or back of the unit) and press it to reset the power strip.
