4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation

The Sami-LD9811B alarm clock operates on batteries (not included). Ensure you have the correct type and number of batteries before proceeding.

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the alarm clock.
  2. Slide or unclip the cover to open the compartment.
  3. Insert the required batteries (typically AAA, refer to the compartment for exact type and quantity) according to the polarity indicators (+ and -) inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2. Initial Power-On

Once batteries are installed, the clock should power on automatically, displaying a default time or flashing digits. You can now proceed to set the time and other preferences.

5. Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the buttons on the back and top of the alarm clock for easy operation.

5.1. Setting Time (12/24 Hour Format)

  1. Press the MODE button (or similar, typically on the back) until the time display starts flashing.
  2. Use the UP and DOWN buttons (or similar, often labeled + and -) to adjust the hours.
  3. Press MODE again to move to minutes, then adjust with UP/DOWN.
  4. Continue pressing MODE to cycle through other settings like 12/24 hour format. Use UP/DOWN to select your preferred format.
  5. Press MODE one last time or wait a few seconds for the settings to save and the display to stop flashing.

5.2. Setting Date and Calendar

The calendar function is usually integrated with the time setting or has a dedicated mode.

  1. Press the MODE button repeatedly until the date (Year, Month, Day) starts flashing.
  2. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the year, then press MODE to confirm and move to the month, and so on.
  3. Once all date components are set, press MODE or wait for the display to return to normal.

5.3. Setting Alarms (Dual Alarm)

This clock supports two independent alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2).

  1. Press the ALARM SET button (or similar) to enter Alarm 1 setting mode. The alarm time will flash.
  2. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to set the desired hour for Alarm 1.
  3. Press ALARM SET again to move to minutes, then adjust with UP/DOWN.
  4. Repeat the process for Alarm 2 by pressing ALARM SET until Alarm 2 time flashes.
  5. To activate or deactivate an alarm, use the alarm switch located on the top of the clock. Push the switch up to turn the alarm ON and down to turn it OFF. An alarm icon will appear on the display when active.

5.4. Using the Snooze Function

When the alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE/LIGHT button on the top of the clock. The alarm will temporarily stop and sound again after a few minutes (default snooze time). To turn off the alarm completely, use the alarm ON/OFF switch or let it ring until it automatically stops.

5.5. Temperature Display

The clock displays the ambient temperature. To switch between Celsius (℃) and Fahrenheit (℉), locate the ℃/℉ button (or similar) on the back of the unit and press it.

5.6. Backlight Activation

To momentarily illuminate the display with the blue LED backlight, press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button on the top of the clock. The backlight will stay on for a few seconds.
