3. Operating the Storage Shed
Opening and Closing the Lid:
The shed features a top-opening lid with gas struts for easy access. To open, simply lift the lid. The struts will hold it in the open position. To close, gently pull the lid down until it latches securely.
Opening and Closing the Doors:
The front of the shed has two hinged doors. To open, unlatch the locking mechanisms (Figure 5) and pull the doors outwards. To close, push the doors inwards until they click into place and then secure the latches.
Locking Mechanism:
The shed is equipped with a latch system that allows for securing your items. A padlock (not included) can be inserted through the designated hole on the main latch to prevent unauthorized access. Additionally, there are foot-operated latches at the bottom of each door for added security.

4. Maintenance
The Duramax Cedargrain StoreAway shed is designed for low maintenance and long-lasting durability.
Cleaning:
To clean the shed, simply hose it down with water. For more stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution and a soft cloth or brush. Rinse thoroughly with water and allow to air dry. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the polypropylene material.
Material Durability:
The shed is made from high-quality polypropylene resin, which is inherently weatherproof and UV protected. This material resists fading, cracking, and peeling, ensuring the shed maintains its appearance and structural integrity over time.

5. Troubleshooting
Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:
- Doors Difficult to Install: Ensure all panels are correctly aligned and the base is perfectly level. Apply firm, even pressure when fitting components. Refer to the assembly videos for visual guidance on hinge and panel installation.
- Not Watertight / Gaps in Doors: While the shed is water-resistant, extreme weather or improper assembly can lead to small gaps. Double-check that all screws are tightened and panels are fully seated. If gaps persist, consider applying a weather-resistant sealant along the seams.
- Cracking During Assembly: This can occur if excessive force is used or if components are not aligned correctly. Always use a rubber mallet for gentle tapping and ensure parts are properly seated before applying force.
- Stability Issues: The shed must be placed on a flat, level surface. Uneven ground can compromise stability and door alignment. Do not exceed the recommended weight limit of 41 pounds for items placed inside.
