3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Camera Installation

  2. Power the Camera: Connect the camera's power adapter to a 12V power source.
    • For continuous monitoring (e.g., RV backup camera, trailer monitoring): Connect to a continuous power source like a tail light, running light, or license plate light.
    • For reversing only: Connect to the vehicle's reverse light circuit.

3.2 Monitor Installation

The 5-inch monitor can be mounted on your dashboard or windshield.

  1. Attach Mount: Secure the monitor mount (suction cup or adhesive base) to a clean, flat surface on your dashboard or windshield.
  2. Attach Monitor: Slide the monitor onto the mount until it clicks into place. Adjust the angle for optimal viewing.
  3. Power the Monitor: Plug the included car charger into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. The car charger also includes an extra USB port for convenience.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Operation

  • Automatic Activation: When the camera receives power (e.g., when the vehicle is put into reverse or if connected to continuous power), the monitor will automatically display the camera feed.
  • Signal Stability: The 2.4GHz digital wireless technology ensures a stable and real-time picture without interference or lag, even at highway speeds.

  • M/U Control (Mirror/Upside-down):

  • Guideline: Enable or disable the parking guidelines. You can also select from 6 different guideline styles to best suit your vehicle and preference.

  • Reset: Resets all settings to their factory defaults.

4.3 Two-Channel Support

The K7 Pro monitor supports up to two wireless camera inputs. This allows you to add an optional second camera (sold separately) for monitoring additional blind spots, such as a front view or a side view.
