1. Setup and Installation
The JERDON Wall-Mounted Makeup Mirror is designed for easy installation. It features a 14-inch extendable arm and a 4" by 5" mounting plate. Mounting hardware is included.
Tools Required (Not Included):
- Drill
- 3/8" Drill Bit
- Screwdriver
- Pencil
- Level
Installation Steps:
- Choose Location: Select a suitable wall location, ensuring it is near a power outlet for the 6-foot coiled power cord.
- Mark Drilling Points: Use the mounting plate as a template. Place it against the wall at the desired height and use a pencil to mark the positions for the mounting screws. Ensure the marks are level.
- Drill Holes: Using a 3/8" drill bit, carefully drill holes at the marked positions.
- Insert Anchors: Insert the appropriate wall anchors (if drilling into drywall) into the drilled holes.
- Attach Mounting Plate: Align the mounting plate with the anchors and secure it to the wall using the provided screws. Tighten slowly while pressing firmly on the plate to ensure a secure fit.
- Mount Mirror Arm: Attach the mirror's arm assembly to the secured mounting plate.
- Connect Power: Plug the 6-foot coiled power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
2. Operating Instructions
The JERDON Wall-Mounted Makeup Mirror offers versatile functionality with its dual-sided mirror, LED lighting, and adjustable arm.
Adjusting the Mirror:
- Extend/Retract Arm: Gently pull the mirror towards you to extend the 14-inch arm, or push it back towards the wall when not in use.
- Swivel and Tilt: The mirror head can swivel 360 degrees and tilt up or down to achieve your desired viewing angle.
Using Magnification:
The mirror features two magnification levels:
- 1X Magnification: Provides a true-to-life reflection, ideal for general skincare and makeup application.
- 5X Magnification: Offers a magnified view for detailed tasks such as tweezing, grooming, or precise makeup application.
To switch between magnification levels, simply rotate the mirror head 180 degrees.
LED Lighting:
The mirror is equipped with bright, long-lasting LED bulbs for optimal illumination.
- Turning On/Off: Locate the power switch on the mounting plate. Flip the switch to turn the LED light on or off.
3. Maintenance
Proper care will ensure the longevity and performance of your JERDON makeup mirror.
Cleaning the Mirror:
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth and a non-abrasive glass cleaner.
- Spray the cleaner onto the cloth, not directly onto the mirror surface, to prevent liquid from seeping into the electrical components.
- Wipe the mirror surface gently until clean and streak-free.
General Care:
- Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning tools, as these can damage the mirror's finish or glass.
- Regularly check the mounting screws to ensure they remain tight and secure.
- Keep the mirror dry and avoid excessive moisture exposure.
4. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your mirror, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
