2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons. Read all instructions carefully.

  • Do not immerse the main unit, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Always ensure the lid is properly sealed and locked before operating the pressure cooker.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • The pressure relief safeguard will release steam when pressure exceeds 110Kpa. Do not obstruct the steam release valve.
  • The built-in anti-jam function prevents blockage of the steam release. Ensure the anti-jam shield is clean.
  • Use only accessories and parts recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot liquids.
  • Always check the sealing ring and float valve for proper placement and condition before each use.

4.3 Placement

Place the pressure cooker on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, away from walls and cabinets to allow for proper ventilation during operation.

5.1 Control Panel Overview

The control panel features a central rotary dial for selecting cooking functions and indicators for 'POWER', 'KEEP WARM (RED)', and 'ECO (GREEN)'.

  • Cooking Functions: Rice, Soup, Gruel, Rib, Tendons, Fish. Each function has a preset cooking time.
  • Keep Warm: Automatically activates after cooking or can be selected manually.
  • ECO: Energy-saving mode.

5.2 General Cooking Steps

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Place your ingredients and the required amount of liquid into the inner pot. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
  2. Place Inner Pot: Insert the inner pot into the main unit, ensuring it sits correctly.
  3. Close and Lock Lid: Place the lid on the cooker, align the arrow on the lid with the arrow on the main unit, and rotate clockwise until it locks into place. Ensure the steam release valve is set to the 'Sealing' position (if applicable, or closed).
  4. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The 'POWER' indicator will illuminate.
  5. Select Function: Turn the central rotary dial to select your desired cooking function (e.g., Rice, Soup, Rib). The corresponding indicator will light up.
  6. Start Cooking: The cooker will automatically begin the preheating and cooking process.
  7. Pressure Release: Once cooking is complete, the cooker will beep and automatically switch to 'KEEP WARM'. To release pressure, press the one-touch exhaust button carefully. Always keep hands and face away from the steam release valve.
  8. Open Lid: Once all pressure has been released and the float valve has dropped, rotate the lid counter-clockwise and open it.
  9. Serve: Carefully remove the inner pot and serve your meal.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your pressure cooker.

6.1 After Each Use

  1. Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Inner Pot: The inner pot is dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Lid: Remove the sealing ring and wash it, the lid, and the steam release valve assembly with warm, soapy water. Ensure all food particles are removed from the float valve and anti-jam shield. Rinse and dry completely.
  4. Main Unit: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Never immerse the main unit in water.
  5. Condensation Collector: Empty and wash the condensation collector.

6.2 Storage

Store the clean and dry pressure cooker in a cool, dry place. For best results, place the lid upside down on the inner pot to prevent odors and prolong the life of the sealing ring.
