3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge your Sparkr Lighter. The charging port is located at the base of the handle, protected by a silicone cover. Gently peel back the cover to reveal the Micro USB port.

1. Connect the provided Micro USB cable to the lighter's charging port.
2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
3. The indicator light on the lighter will illuminate during charging. It typically takes less than one hour for a full charge.
4. Once fully charged, the indicator light may change color or turn off. Disconnect the charging cable and replace the silicone cover to protect the port.

3.2 Activating the Lighter

For safety, the Sparkr Lighter requires a specific activation sequence.

1. Press the power button three (3) times rapidly.
2. The indicator light will turn orange, signifying the lighter is now active and ready for use.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 General Use

The Sparkr Lighter produces a flameless electric arc, making it windproof and odorless. Its extended wand and 15-degree angled head allow for precise lighting in various situations.

1. Ensure the lighter is activated (indicator light is orange).
2. Press and hold the power button. The plasma arc will generate between the electrodes at the tip.
3. Position the arc near the wick of a candle, a grill burner, or other ignitable material.
4. Release the button once ignition occurs. The arc will automatically shut off after approximately 10 seconds of continuous use for safety.
5. To deactivate the lighter, press the power button three (3) times rapidly. The indicator light will turn off.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Electrodes

Over time, residue from wicks or other materials may accumulate on the electrodes, affecting performance. Regularly clean the electrodes to ensure consistent sparking.

• Ensure the lighter is deactivated and cool before cleaning.
• Gently wipe the electrode tips with a dry cloth or a soft brush to remove any soot or debris.
• Do not use abrasive materials or liquids, as this may damage the electrodes.

5.2 Storage

When not in use, store the Sparkr Lighter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Always ensure the silicone protective cap is placed over the electrodes to prevent accidental activation and protect the tips.

6. Troubleshooting

• Lighter not sparking: Ensure the lighter is activated by pressing the button three times. Check if the battery is low (indicator light may blink or not illuminate). Clean the electrodes if there is visible residue.
• Indicator light blinking: This typically indicates a low battery. Recharge the lighter fully.
• Difficulty activating: Ensure you are pressing the button three times rapidly. There should be a distinct click for each press.
